Eaton's ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a Drafter - Electrical in Greenwood, SC. This position is ONSITE Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm at our Greenwood SC Eaton location.

The Electrical Drafter is responsible for preparing all necessary electrical drawings; perform a wide variety of activities requiring the application of more complex drafting principles and related technical knowledge. This salary band supports two types of functions within the engineering design capacity and electrical design. This position requires an outstanding working knowledge of CAD technology, drafting skills and understanding of electrical principals.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $56000 - $83000 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

This position requires an outstanding working knowledge of 2D AutoCAD technology, drafting skills and understanding of electrical principals.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• You will prepare complex layouts, circuit diagrams, sketches and drawings relating to new and modified equipment specifications, as well as from customer engineering interpretation to the general order.
• You will analyze and interpret customer inquiries relating to assemblies, during the engineering and manufacturing phases.
• You will develop special layout and sketches for engineering tests to determine the acceptance applications, operating characteristics, or performance of components of assemblies.
• You will prepare necessary information to ensure efficient and timely material procurement, manufacturing testing, and installation of assemblies.
• You will compile data required for project assignments and develop specifications, reports, and other related written documents as required.
• You will maintain contact with manufacturing personnel to review and discuss diagrams, modifications, adjustments, and progress of work relating to the design and manufacture of equipment.

Qualifications:

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• Associate degree in electrical engineering technology or an equivalent degree (within 6 months of hire)
• 3 months of experience with electrical circuits and principles

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum one (1) year of experience preparing complex layouts, circuit diagrams, sketches and drawings relating to new and modified equipment specifications, as well as from customers' engineering interpretation.
• 3 months of experience in 2D CAD or equivalent coursework.
