Eaton's Corporate Sector division is currently seeking a Division Sales Engineer - PFC.

Job Summary:

The Division Sales Engineer - PFC plays a strategic role by providing comprehensive technical and commercial support throughout the sales cycle for Power Factor Correction (PFC) and Power Conditioning (PC) solutions. This position is responsible for analyzing project specifications, recommending optimal product configurations, preparing proposals, offering expert technical guidance, and supporting negotiations to ensure the successful execution of projects.

This role collaborates closely with the sales organization, EatonCare, and engineering teams to guarantee the accuracy of orders, maintain pricing integrity, and drive profitable growth across Eaton's global PFC product line. The engineer also contributes valuable market insights, supports forecasting activities, and identifies new product opportunities to enhance Eaton's competitive position.

Report new product requirements, track negotiations, report orders entered and lost, develop accurate monthly forecasts and report market trends in a timely and efficient manner.

What you'll do:

Technical & Commercial Support

  • Provide expert pre- and post-sales support for PFC and PC product lines.
  • Review technical specifications, prepare quotations and pricing analyses, and conduct competitive product evaluations.
  • Recommend bill-of-material optimizations to meet customer requirements while strengthening Eaton's value proposition.
  • Interpret commercial and technical data to develop solutions for unique or complex customer challenges.

Customer Support & Relationship Development

  • Deliver post-sales support, addressing installation inquiries, warranty concerns, and technical issues.
  • Lead technical explanations, demonstrations, and training sessions for customers, distributors, and internal teams.
  • Collaborate with Field Sales to negotiate pricing and drive upsell opportunities after project award.

Product & Market Insights

  • Prepare competitive cross-references and application notes for supported product lines.
  • Report market trends, competitive intelligence, and customer needs in a timely and structured manner.
  • Contribute to the development of new products or product enhancements in collaboration with engineering and marketing.
  • Participate in the development of new standards when beneficial for product positioning.

Marketing & Documentation

  • Create technical and non-technical documentation to support marketing efforts and product launches.
  • Support product launch activities including project tracking, documentation, and coordination with cross-functional teams.
  • Participate in customer seminars and industry events (up to 10% travel).

Operational Excellence

  • Facilitate accurate order entry, pricing reconciliation, and customer-driven requests through EatonCare and Front-End teams.
  • Manage multiple tasks independently, ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer expectations.
  • Assist with complex design considerations in coordination with engineering teams.
  • Contribute to reducing non-conformance costs by ensuring accurate interpretation of specifications, take-offs, and pricing.

Qualifications:

Education level required

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or another technical fiel

Years and area of experience required

• Minimum 3 years of work experience within the electrical industry
• Strong technical knowledge of distribution and/or control equipment applications.
• Previous experience in sales or sales support roles.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in reviewing take-off requests, pricing approval workflows, and order validation.
  • Ability to gather, analyze, and interpret competitive feedback to support strategic decision-making.
  • Strong capability to build and maintain long-term customer relationships.
  • Knowledge of Eaton products and services, including the ability to assemble standard offerings with minimal oversight.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, internet applications, and product configuration tools.
  • Strong organizational, presentation, training, and planning skills.
  • Understanding of market trends, industry standards, and competitor landscape.
