Director Product Line Management - LVA
Eaton's Energy Solutions & Services division is seeking a Director of Product Line Management for Low Voltage Assembly, to be based in one of it's key EMEA locations.
What you'll do:
Reporting to the leader of the Medium & Low Voltage Solutions business line (To Be Hired), Electrical Sector EMEA, the Director of Product Line Management will lead the strategic direction, development, and management of our Low Voltage Assembly Solutions product line portfolio. Role is responsible for delivering a differentiated and profitable portfolio in Low Voltage assemblies to be competitive and profitable in the market, and to grow this product line from $40M revenue to $350M within 3-5 years.
Key responsibilities include creating & executing a product portfolio and product line strategy to achieve growth to $350M, building and leading a team of Product Managers, continuous organisational improvement and medium to long term strategy. This role will play a critical role globally across segments and global product lines to shape and execute the sector, segment and product line strategy & goals.

As a leader within a newly formed division, they will champion the collaboration and change needed to ensure that the product line, business unit, and ESS division, successfully fulfill the ambition to deliver long-cycle systems solution opportunities across Eaton's product portfolio.
Essential Responsibilities:
• Build and launch the Low Voltage Assemblies product line from the ground up, establishing foundational strategies, processes, and teams to drive rapid growth, market entry, and long-term success. Craft and execute a comprehensive product portfolio and product line strategy, ensuring alignment with company objectives, market demands, and growth targets.
• Lead product development and innovation for Low Voltage Assemblies, from ideation to launch, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and keeping the company at the forefront of industry trends and technological advancements. Steward R&D investments and collaborate with the global Energy Solutions sector to strengthen market positioning.
• Drive growth and maximize revenue and margin through innovative product launches, strong product/market fit, customer-centric solutions, and effective management of supply chain and operations constraints. Actively participate in SIOP (Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning) trade-off decisions and ensure products meet profitability targets.
• Conduct market and competitive analysis to identify opportunities and threats, proactively adjusting product strategy to respond to market changes and competitive pressures. Utilize data-driven insights and scenario modelling to inform portfolio decisions, manage commercial risks, and optimize product performance.
• Take accountability for financial performance by overseeing budgeting, forecasting, and P&L results for Low Voltage Assemblies, ensuring accurate forecasting and contributing to the company's financial health.
• Own strategic plan accuracy, pricing strategy, portfolio management, and product lifecycle management for Low Voltage Assemblies, establishing and monitoring KPIs to track success, identify areas for improvement, and provide data-driven insights for strategic decisions.
• Facilitate cross-functional collaboration between product management, engineering, marketing, sales, and other departments to ensure cohesive product development, launch, and delivery of the product value proposition. Engage with customers and stakeholders to gather feedback, build relationships, and ensure products meet user needs and expectations.
• Mentor and develop product management teams, fostering a culture of continuous learning, professional growth, and high performance. Implement agile and lean methodologies to accelerate product development cycles and improve adaptability to changing market conditions.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with product development and market entry, developing contingency plans to address potential challenges and ensure stability and reliability of product offerings.
• Operational Excellence: In partnership with the Divisional Operations Director, ensure quality, compliance, and continuous improvement in processes and product reliability across multi-site manufacturing operations.
• Innovation & Portfolio Management: Champion the development and market introduction of innovative, sustainable products (e.g., SF6-free switchgear), and manage product portfolio optimization.
• Transformation & Change Management: Initiate and lead transformation projects (e.g., restructuring, process optimization, market entry), ensuring successful execution and positive business impact.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with customers, partners, industry associations, and internal executive forums, ensuring strong relationships and positive reputation.
• Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure adherence to regulatory, quality, and safety standards across all operations and projects.

The location for this role is flexible across key EMEA locations for the right candidate.
Qualifications:
• Outstanding talent and dynamic leadership skills, highly collaborative.
• Proven and successful track record of growing and transforming businesses amid changing market conditions and longer cycle customer projects.
• Experience of Low Voltage technologies (LV assembly, Low & Medium Voltage products) and selling LV products as part of wider Systems solutions.
• Minimum 10 years' experience in manufacturing, engineering, or energy sector, with at least 5 years in senior leadership roles. Customer focused with proven record of delivering against revenue growth targets.
• Direct experience running the P&L for a product line or business of $250m in revenue.
• Proven background in front-end customer negotiations and partnerships.
• Technical understanding of Medium Voltage systems and Low Voltage assembly (Panel builder in particular).
• Proven track record in leading complex ETO businesses and multi-site operations.
• Experience in transformation, restructuring, and process optimization.
• Ability to manage complex supplier and customer landscapes, especially in ETO environments
• Strong leadership communications, interpersonal, and motivational skills. Inclusive leadership style with an ability to lead multiple diverse teams and locations.
• Excellent business and financial acumen.
• Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, finance, or related discipline is required.
