Director - Data Management
Eaton's Electrical Sector - Americas (ES-A) is currently seeking a Director - Data Management. This position can be remote within the continental US and predominatly works within Eastern standard time zone.
Reporting to the VP, Marketing Communications, ES-A, the Director -Data Management is responsible for leading the strategic direction, governance, and execution of analytics and master data management initiatives within the ES-A business. This role ensures delivery, accuracy, integrity, and consistency of key business data across systems and departments, enabling data-driven decision-making and operational efficiency. He/she will enable the essential deployments of Eaton's Master Data Management (MDM) program within ES-A, in partnership with Eaton's Global MDM organization, driving business process change across ERPs, front-end applications (Eaton.com, Order Center, etc.) and channel partners to leverage world-class data. He/she champions data development, ownership, standardization, accessibility, and governance for ES-A analytics objectives, creating an environment that makes data and information accessible to departments and personnel as appropriate.
In this role you will:
- Develop and implement a sector-wide data strategy within ES-A aligned with enterprise master data, data governance, analytics, and business objectives.
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders to define data standards, policies, and procedures.
- Contribute to implementation of MDM processes and technologies to support scalability and automation, prioritizing alignment with business growth initiatives.
- Establish an ES-A analytics roadmap aligning data delivery needs to business strategy and objectives.
- Lead requirements, design, implementation, and support of data assets to drive business value.
- Partner with business and IT teams to ensure solutions are secure, scalable, highly performant, and governed in accordance with data privacy and regulatory requirements.
- Drive a culture of data-driven decision-making and develop, deploy, measure, and refine the data quality program for ES-A.
- Define and enforce data standards, taxonomies, and hierarchies for customer, product, and channel data; implement data quality frameworks to sustain clean and deduplicated master data.
- Build and manage strategy and infrastructure for data syndication and integration to internal systems, industry data warehouses, and channel partners.
- Represent the sector/region in enterprise and domain councils; collaborate on data-focused RFPs and supplier MSAs.
- Establish analytics/insights/reporting strategy (e.g., monthly analyses and scorecards) to demonstrate value versus objectives and benchmarks; evolve the data model to support current and future standards.
- Manage teams of 10-15 to drive standardized processes across regions supporting the MDM program; own day-to-day support for PDH, Reltio, Stibo STEP, and integrated applications related to MDM.
- Lead/direct cross-functional teams of data engineers, stewards, and analysts; manage MDM projects including tool implementation, data migration, and integration with CRM, ERP, and marketing automation platforms.
Your Qualifications:
- Minimum 10 years of data management, marketing and/or IT experience.
- Minimum 5 years in a leadership role.
- Deep understanding of data models, data architecture, and system integration.
- Working knowledge of various systems and processes (product management, manufacturing, marketing, and engineering).
- B.S. or B.A. degree from an accredited institution (Information systems, computer science, marketing, journalism, English, IT, business, or related fields).

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience deploying and operating Master Data Management (MDM) programs across multiple ERPs and front-end applications.
- Experience with MDM/PIM platforms and related ecosystems (e.g., PDH, Reltio, Stibo STEP) and integrated applications.
- Experience with data syndication to internal/external consumers (channel partners, industry data warehouses) and participation in data standards organizations.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $165000 - $242000 a year. This role is also eligible for a variable incentive program.
