Our Hengelo site plays a key role in delivering Eaton's broad portfolio of medium-voltage power distribution and control solutions - from advanced switchgear and circuit breakers to transformers, motor control systems, and cable accessories designed for safety, reliability, and long operational life. We have an exciting, new opportunity for a Digital Transformation Lead who will take a key role in developing and driving Eaton Hengelo's digital strategy and transformation roadmap, ensuring the successful adoption of digital technologies and Industry 4.0 processes across all value streams in our Electrical Assembly plant.
What you'll do:
In this exciting new role, you will leverage modern technologies to boost operational efficiency, elevate customer experience, and enable data-driven decision-making. You will act as a true change agent - aligning digital initiatives with business goals, inspiring teams, and fostering a culture of curiosity and innovation.
This is an excellent early leadership opportunity, ideal for someone with a background in digitalisation, Industry 4.0, mechatronics, robotics, or similar fields. You will have the chance to build a function from the ground up and eventually grow into managing your own team, depending on your vision and ambition.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and implement the organization's digital transformation roadmap aligned with business goals
- Identify emerging technologies and assess their potential impact on the business
- Create and shape a new digital-focused department from scratch
- Lead cross-functional teams to deliver digital initiatives on time and within budget
- Oversee implementation of digital tools, platforms, and processes
- Drive organizational change by promoting digital adoption and training programs
- Communicate the benefits of digital transformation to stakeholders at all levels
- Ensure effective use of data analytics to support decision-making and performance improvement
- Implement systems for data governance and security compliance
- Collaborate with business leaders to identify pain points and opportunities for digital solutions
- Act as a bridge between IT, operations, and business units to ensure alignment

Qualifications:
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in (Technical) Business Administration, Smart Industry or related fields
- Proven experience leading digital transformation projects within a complex organization
- Ability to translate technical concepts into clear business language
- Knowledge of automation, digitalization, electronics and/or mechatronics
- Strong understanding of emerging technologies (AI, IoT, Cloud, Automation, Digitization etc.)
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Knowledge of change management frameworks and agile methodologies
Skills:
- Strong understanding of emerging technologies (AI, IoT, Cloud, Automation, Digitization etc.)

- Fluency in English, Dutch would be a plus
