Eaton's Critical Power and Digital Infrastructure (CPDI) division is currently seeking a Digital and Channel Marketing Specialist to join the team. This is a hybrid role, based at the Burlington, ON site with approximately 10% travel.

Eaton Burlington is the head office for Eaton's electrical sector in Canada, located in Burlington, Ontario. This central location hosts essential departments such as Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, Human Resources and Customer Service. The Burlington headquarters is designed to support a collaborative and innovative work environment. Its proximity to major highways and public transportation provides convenient access for commuting professionals, while nearby parks, lakes, and recreational facilities offer options for relaxation and wellness.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $93000 - $117000 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

What you'll do:

As a Digital and Channel Marketing Specialist, you will be responsible for engaging with the Critical Power and Digital Infrastructure (CPDI) sales organization in Canada with the execution of marketing activities in Canada in line with agreed key market segments, business strategy, and target audiences. These activities will target all channel partners (distributors, resellers, contractors, & end-users), channel segments (IT, Datacom, Electrical), and product segments (UPS, Peripherals, and Service).

Essential Functions Include:

Strategic Planning & Channel Marketing - Develop and execute annual marketing business plans and quarterly marketing plans with key channel partners - using partner's business development funds. Develop and deploy local programs targeting specific channel partners and strategic segments for growth; develop and deploy local digital marketing campaigns. Engage with the marketing groups of the various business units in Canada to drive synergistic cooperation & alignment of Eaton activities in Canada. Consult and partner with other Eaton Marketing teams and leads globally, to learn best practices that could be implemented to enhance the Canadian MarCom operation.

Demand Generation & Brand Visibility - Increase the visibility of Eaton within our channel partners in the marketplace (POS materials, partner websites, partner email campaigns, partner events, etc.). Provide channel partners with customizable demand generation content, sales tools, and programs with a focus on demand generation for Eaton and Tripp Lite branded products. Partner with product managers and sales teams (Canada and US) to build and optimize the content on EatonCanada.ca; take the lead on activities within an integrated campaign from design to execution and lead generation.

Digital Marketing & Creative Content - Strategize, execute, and analyze the social media campaigns for CPDI Canada. Improve the user experience of Eaton branding by exploring different approaches to solve end-users' problems to create meaningful experiences through design on our website, apps, and marketing material. Coordinate and direct the creative content creation (digital/print) with internal and external agencies and vendors; provide creative input for signage, mock-ups, and product demos for CPDI Product Lines.

Events, Analysis & Continuous Improvement - Plan and support marketing events (virtual and physical: webinars, distributor events, tradeshows). Coordinate with the sales team in support of online and physical events, training, and activities to ensure the availability of marketing assets and merchandise items. Actively seek, analyze, and share feedback on competitor marketing material and digital content. Analyze marketing KPIs to support continuous improvement of marketing activities and its ROI.

What will make you successful?
The ideal candidate demonstrates a strong proficiency in tools such as Google Ads, pricing systems, analytics, and market assessment platforms, along with advanced MS Office skills. You have an aptitude for (or a willingness to learn) the technical aspects of Eaton's product portfolio, paired with a solid business acumen. You have an exceptional communication skillset, including presentation experience to different audiences (leadership, sales and technical teams, trade shows, etc.). A creative approach to problem-solving, ability to work independently, and capability to influence decisions related to budgeting and planning are essential for success in this role. We are looking for candidates who are diverse in their backgrounds, perspectives, and experiences, and who can bring fresh and innovative ideas to our team.

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • University degree or college diploma from an accredited institution
  • Minimum 3 years of Marketing experience, including Digital Marketing and Marketing Communications,
  • Experience in Electrical, Datacom or IT markets.
  • Experience in partner program management / distribution channels (including: Business Events, Trade Shows, etc.)
  • Must be legally authorized to work in Canada without corporate sponsorship now or in the future.
  • No relocation provided. This role requires working onsite (hybrid schedule) at our Burlington, ON office.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • P. Eng., CET or C. Tech designation.
  • Master of Business Administration (MBA) from an accredited institution is preferred.
  • Previous experience working in the IT channel.
  • Experience working with Power Quality (UPS) and Power Distribution products.
  • Fluency in French is a strong asset.
