Custom Order Product Specialist - Electrical Engineering
Eaton's Electrical sector is currently seeking a Custom Order Product Specialist - Electrical Engineering to join our team. This position is based at our Milton, ON facility and offers benefits from day one.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $82000 - $102000 a year.

What you'll do:
Eaton's Electrical Sector is seeking a Custom Order Product Specialist for our Milton manufacturing plants. This role supports Canada's largest manufacturing plant by providing timely and accurate engineering drawings, materials information, and product support for various departments such as Marketing, Sales, Customer Service, Services and plant manufacturing. The engineer will ensure design accuracy and compliance with customer specifications, resolve discrepancies, and support the commercial aspects of orders. This includes meeting with customers to approve or revise drawings, supporting final inspections, and providing documentation packages.
Key duties and responsibilities include:
• Technical and Engineering Support: Provide support for complex products, develop wiring diagrams, and prepare various types of drawings.
• Material Management: Generate and maintain bills of material in the ERP system, incorporating any customer changes.
• Project Coordination and Execution: Align priorities to capacity planning tool milestone dates, coordinate and execute Engineered to Order (ETO) or Configured to Order (CTO) product orders, and manage project timelines.

Qualifications:
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering or related discipline from an accredited institution
- Minimum 3 years of engineering experience using and interpreting the Canadian Electrical Code.
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship now or in the future.
- No relocation benefit is being offered for this position.
The ideal candidate for this role holds a Certified Electrical Technologist or Professional Engineering designation. They possess extensive knowledge in programming and troubleshooting PLC and HMI-based systems and have experience working in a manufacturing plant. A Lean Six Sigma green or black belt is a significant asset, demonstrating their ability to optimize processes and improve operational efficiency. The candidate will also have competence in using AutoCAD Electrical or similar schematic/circuit-drawing software, an understanding of design for manufacturing and lean six sigma principles, and proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
