Corporate Communications Content Specialist
What you'll do:
A member of the Corporate & Electrical Sector communications team, the primary function of this role is to measurably increase internal understanding of / support for Eaton's activities and successes across the EMEA region through the planning and delivery of engaging communications.
Plan and implement a long-term content communications plan that showcases Eaton's operations and successes to internal audiences across EMEA, with consideration for broader audience relevance and potential external application where appropriate.
Liaise with teams and colleagues across EMEA to identify story opportunities; plan and deliver content items, with an emphasis on human-led, short-form video, and ensure effective pubication and sharing through internal digital channels,with opportunities to adapt selected content for external use where appropriate (this will be achieved through some direct filming but also through co-ordinating videographers and editors external to the communications team)
Act as news & content lead for the communications team, publishing news and maintaining content on Eaton's intranet and associated internal channels (Viva Engage, internal newsletters).
Maintain a library of guides and good practice for the Eaton Communicators Network (a group of Eaton colleagues supporting their own team & function internal communications activities) and act as first point of triage on ECN queries into the corporate communications team.
Provide support to other external communication activities where required.
Qualifications:
- Degree in communication, marketing or employer branding related field
- At least 3 years of experience in similar position, with strong experience in video storyboarding, filming & editing, news & intranet content management
Skills:
- Background in crafting impactful narratives, creating compelling copy, and designing engaging visual content
- Experience across EMEA countries is highly preferred; experience in energy / manufacturing sectors is helpful but not essential
- Proficiency in utilizing various communication platforms and applications, such as Microsoft 365 (Teams, PowerPoint, SharePoint CMS, Viva Engage, Clipchamp etc), Canva, Eloqua, and different social media channels
- Experience of managing and directing third parties, including agencies, on filming and digital content assignments
- Passionate about innovation and communication, eager to learn
- Well-connected, robust interpersonal skills
