Continuous Improvement Manager
Eaton's IS AER FED division is currently seeking a Continuous Improvement Manager. This position will located at our Bethel, CT facility.
The Continuous Improvement Manager is a member of the Plant Leadership Team with responsibility for the Continuous Improvement function in the Bethel plant. In this role, you will plan, coordinate, and lead all Continuous Improvement activities in support of business objectives. This position champions the plant's efforts to improve processes and reduce costs using lean tools and six sigma methodology.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $97000 - $143000 a year.

What you'll do:
• Champion a culture of inclusion and accountability by leveraging employees at all levels of the organization in the development and troubleshooting of quality manufacturing processes.
• Develop the Bethel plant's long term strategic plan for Continuous Improvement. Set short- and long-term objectives to achieve strategic plan. Communicate organization's vision of effectively in verbal, written, and presentation form.
• Utilize Lean and Six Sigma tools to eliminate waste driving customer satisfaction, cost reduction, and improved working capital performance.
• Lead production and functional teams in the monitoring and improvement of processes to ensure the highest quality product by utilizing EQS, ELSS, and other Eaton and industry best practices.
• Facilitate improvement activities including training, mentoring, facilitating Kaizen events, Six Sigma projects, tool deployment, benchmarking, etc.

• Deploy DMAIC problem solving systematically and effectively solves problems / challenges across the operation.
• Provide Lean and Six Sigma support across the organization to drive short-term and long-term business improvements.
• Conduct or support various internal and external assessments (e.g. ELSS, Op-A, MESH, AS9100, Production Rate Readiness). Work across functions to prioritize improvement activities and close identified gaps.
• Facilitate the annual organizational objective planning process using EBS Pull methodology.
• Demonstrate strong cross functional leadership in a matrix environment. Influence others in a dynamic working environment with full focus upon continuous improvement.
• Provide technical support to sister locations for shared product lines and manufacturing processes.
• Complete additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of five (5) years engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship, now or in the future.
• This position requires access to export-controlled information. To conform to U.S. Government export regulations applicable to that information, applicant must be a U.S. person, defined as a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (green card holder), (iii) refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or (iv) asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158.
• No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 60-mile radius of Bethel, CT will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Minimum of two (2) years experience in the deployment of 5S, Standard Work, Value Stream Maps, Visual Management, and TPM.
• Experience implementing lean production methodology in low volume/high mix type product environment.
• Experience with Power Bi.
Position Success Criteria:
• Thorough working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen events, continuous improvement, SPC, and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Exposure to Materials Management, Operations, and Customer Service processes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively convey complex information to diverse audiences.
• Managing several projects simultaneously.
• Proven capability to lead change in a team environment.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Proficient in Excel, Power Point, Visio.
