Eaton's IS VEH VGNA division is currently seeking a Continuous Improvement Manager at our South Bend, IN facility! This is an onsite position. The role is open to relocation throughout the United States, for those interested in moving to South Bend, IN.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $93750.03 - $137500.04 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

What you'll do:

The South Bend plant is a part of Eaton's Industrial Sector and produces forgings in support of the Mobility Group North America Division. The facility is an integral part of the division's growth and operational platforms worldwide. This position reports to the Plant Manager and is responsible for leading and overseeing all aspects of CI within the South Bend facility.

Position Overview:
The Continuous Improvement Manager will spearhead efforts to elevate organizational efficiency and effectiveness by driving and managing continuous improvement initiatives and projects. This role involves pinpointing areas for enhancement, conducting thorough process analyses, devising strategies to streamline workflows, minimize waste, and boost overall performance using lean methodologies. As a catalyst for change, the manager will leverage project successes, training initiatives, Kaizen events, data analytics, and leadership acumen to achieve impactful results.

What you'll do:
Champion Kaizen/Rapid Improvement Events: Lead transformative events that drive substantial improvements across the South Bend facility.
Master Eaton Continuous Improvement Systems/Tools: Utilize Eaton Continuous Improvement Systems (ECIS) tools to optimize processes and enhance operational efficiency.
Craft the CI Roadmap: Develop and implement a comprehensive continuous improvement roadmap tailored to the South Bend manufacturing environment.
Train and Empower: Serve as the ECIS tool expert, training and empowering team members to effectively utilize these tools.
Lead ECIS Deployment: Oversee the deployment and assessments of ECIS, ensuring successful implementation and integration.
Communicate Progress: Provide regular updates on continuous improvement status to the plant manager and staff, highlighting achievements and progress.
Engage and Inspire: Actively involve employees in continuous improvement events, the Ideas Program, and 5S initiatives, fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
Support Operational Excellence: Collaborate with other areas of Operational Excellence, including EHS and EQMS, to drive comprehensive improvements.
Strategic Leadership: Serve as a key member of the South Bend Leadership team, contributing to strategy, direction, and continuous improvement efforts.
Dynamic Leadership Role: Ideal for a proactive leader who excels in making a tangible impact in a manufacturing environment and driving positive change.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of 3 years of manufacturing / continuous improvement experience
  • Minimum of 1 year experience leading project teams
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis without company sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in industrial, mechanical, or other engineering degree from an accredited institution
  • Six Sigma Greenbelt Certification
  • Continuous Improvement (CI) Certifications
