Eaton's CPDI OPS Operations division is currently seeking a Continuous Improvement Engineer.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $71000 - $105000 a year.

The Continuous Improvement Engineer is a manufacturing professional responsible for assessing production and warehouse processes and offering solutions to improve them. They use the principles of lean manufacturing, a production method that aims to streamline work, increase efficiency, and add value.

In this function you will:
• Apply Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma tools and methodologies to elevate manufacturing excellence, seamlessly blending engineering expertise with continuous improvement strategies.

• Implement and lead Lean Manufacturing concepts and Lean tools throughout the enterprise, including Value Stream Mapping, Lean Material Flow, Basic Problem Solving, 5S+, Standard Work, etc.
• Lead operational improvement events (kaizen, Gemba, rapid improvement events, process improvement, etc.) with multi-functional teams from concept to implementation.
• Achieve facility wide cost out targets through improvement projects, waste reduction, best practice sharing / implementation, and other programs.
• Lead and train cross-functional continuous improvement teams, concentrating on measurable goals related to safety, quality, delivery, and cost efficiency. Bridge the gap between manufacturing engineering and continuous improvement, fostering a collaborative environment.
• Initiate, develop, and lead capital improvement projects including manufacturing equipment, facility enhancements and new product start-ups.
• Foster a continuous improvement culture throughout the business by creating, leading and communicating opportunities for quality, productivity, flow and safety improvement.
• Support new product development with manufacturing feasibility and industrialization activities including production layout, materials and costing for new products.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited institution required.
• Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future.

Preferred Qualifications:
• 5-7 years' experience combined in either manufacturing engineering, continuous improvement, operations management required.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering preferred.
• Experience with MRP systems (SAP).

Skills:

Position Criteria:
• Knowledge of a wide variety of manufacturing processes including assembly and pull systems.
• Technical understanding and experience with Lean Manufacturing Systems and Six Sigma methodology.
• Ability to think strategically and see big picture in dynamic business environment.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment; to communicate articulately and professionally across many organizational levels and functions.
• Highly motivated, works with a sense of urgency, driven to add value and deliver results.
