Commercial Accounting Analyst
What you'll do:
Job Summary
The Commercial Accounting Analyst will support the Commercial Accounting CoE: a specialized accounting team devoted to ensuring financial integrity of complex commercial initiatives, including rebates, commissions, marketing projects, and incentive programs. The primary responsibilities of the collective team include ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining compliance with accounting standards and regulations, and implementing effective internal Controls to safeguard company assets and prevent fraud. The CoE also has responsibility for budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning to support business decisions and strategic goals. Plays a crucial role in a company's financial management and internal control processes within the Commercial organization by partnering with operations, sales, and marketing.
Job Responsibilities
A. Financial Reporting: Support preparation of financial statements, following generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) adherence, local statutory/tax compliance, and other relevant accounting standards. Ensure accuracy/integrity of financial data.
B. Compliance: Ensure compliance with applicable accounting regulations and reporting requirements.
C. Data Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends, patterns, and potential issues. This analysis can provide valuable insights into the company's financial health and help management make informed decisions.
D. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and enhance efficiency. Suggest and implement improvements to reporting methods, financial systems, and automation tools.
E. Prepare financial analysis and reporting for commissions, rebates, incentive programs, and other ad hoc requirements. Update financial models and databases.

Qualifications:
Education level required
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration
Years and area of experience required
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with other Microsoft Office suite applications.
• Fundamental knowledge of financial statements and accounting principles.
• Strong organizational competencies, adept at managing multiple tasks and adhering to deadlines.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
Technical knowledge
• Familiarity with financial modeling and data analysis techniques.
• Experience with financial software or ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Hyperion) is a plus.
• Advanced english proficiency
• Understanding of commercial accounting and finance concepts.
• Internship or relevant experience in finance, accounting, or a related field is a plus, but not required.
