Our EMEA Business Service Center (BSC) in Budapest is Eaton's largest office in the region. What you'll do:
The focus of this role would be to lead and manage a team of local buyers by providing guidance, support, and ongoing performance feedback. Build strong collaboration with a wide range of business functions-including Suppliers, Network Planners, Network Schedulers, Customer Service, Warehouse, Supplier Development, Category Managers, Finance, the Senior Management Team, IT, and PLM-both locally and globally. Ensure effective and timely material availability, accurate system data in SAP, and correct master data settings in SAP or other ERP systems as needed. These elements are critical for successful and timely material procurement.
The role reports functionally to the Network Purchasing Leader and directly to the Local ES EMEA Purchasing Manager. The position is expected to drive a minimum of four continuous improvement (CI) initiatives per year, including audits and clear communication of improvements to the manager.
Main Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of 7-8 buyers and manage 1-2 critical high-volume vendors.
- Build strong vendor relationships and ensure clear communication across all stakeholders.
- Align vendor strategy with overall business guidelines and support execution improvements.
- Own KPI management, Talent Hub performance processes, and annual nominations.
- Ensure team compliance with RASCI, SOPs, Life-Saving Rules, and required trainings.
- Oversee timely, cost-effective procurement of external components/FG for plants and warehouses.
- Collaborate with production, logistics, and quality for seamless material flow.
- Maintain and improve standard work procedures; lead quarterly CI events.
- Deploy competency matrices, upskill the team, and support succession planning.
- Manage supply changes (seasonality, forecasts, supply chain shifts) and adjust processes accordingly.
- Ensure accurate and updated ERP purchasing data; effectively use SAP and related tools.
- Support rollout and adoption of new Eaton digital tools.
- Act as deputy for the Network Purchasing Leader.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- 3+ years of experience in purchasing or supply chain management, with 1-2 years of experience in a leadership role preferred
Skills:
- SAP MM advanced level, MS Office advanced level
- Fluency in English
- Open, proactive and cooperative
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Willing to take ownership
- Analytical and cognitive
- Ability to analyze operational problems in a short time based on data-driven KPIs and / or unexpected critical situations (eg Delivery Problems)
