Buyer (MRO)

What you'll do:

PRIMARY FUNCTION:
A. Coordinate and procure indirect materials to support several departments.
B. Cultivate and manage strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating agreements that balance favorable pricing, terms and conditions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
A. Generate purchase orders through oracle system and RFQ to suppliers.
B. Work closely with other Eaton plants to execute sourcing, bring more suppliers to our site or develop new or current suppliers together.
C. Implement cost savings.
D. Negotiate with local and foreign suppliers, following the policies and Eaton rules.
E. Manage and develop suppliers to ensure optimal quality and delivery.
F. Using problem solving tools (8D, A3, Etc.) to solve specific problems related to supplier deliveries / cost.
G. Perform internal audits to on-site suppliers and monthly KPI's reviews to enhancing efficiency.
H. Release on hold invoices.
I. Comply with established SCM policies and procedures and support continuous improvement of EBE processes for SCM Indirect Purchasing.
J. Implements, promotes and maintains a safe work environment by implementing a culture of accidents prevention, investigation, equipment maintenance and application of rules. Identify, control and administer risk and danger in own area.
K. Promotes the company's vision by actively supporting Eaton's ethics and values as well as quality policies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in equivalent disciplines
• English skills (written and verbal)
• At least two years of experience in Indirect Procurement (MRO).
• Good communication skills
• MS Office knowledge
• Planning and organizational skills
• Manufacturing background
• ERP usage (ORACLE preferred)
