Our EMEA Business Service Center (BSC) in Budapest is Eaton's largest office in the region. What you'll do:

The main focus of this role is to manage value stream from supplier to distribution centre and production plants, and be responsible for material availability and electrical finished goods inventory management. The Buyer will also maintain system inventory records, enter transactions, and achieve customer satisfaction through effective planning and execution.This role will be reporting directly to the Purchasing Lead/Manager.

Main Responsibilities:

- Manage the flow of materials between suppliers, distribution centers, and production plants, ensuring demand is met and deliveries are on time

- Own and maintain the open purchase order (PO) book, including order confirmations, overdue POs, and rescheduling activities (expedite, defer, cancel)

- Maintain accurate purchasing and inventory data in SAP, including PO processing, MRP parameter validation, Purchasing Info Records (PIR), and source lists

- Act as the primary contact for suppliers, including regular communication, forecasting, and resolution of order, delivery, price, or quantity deviations

- Communicate supply plan changes and material risks to Customer Service, Order Management, and Production Planning teams

- Monitor KPIs (e.g., On-Time Delivery, exceptions, PO backlog) and drive continuous improvement actions

- Manage material shortages and supply risks end-to-end, escalating issues where necessary to minimize business impact

- Support invoice resolution, warehouse discrepancies, stock allocation, and stock takes for consignment or subcontractor vendors

- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and support improvement initiatives, projects, and analytical activities (price, MOQ, consumption)

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree
• 1-3 years of experience in purchasing or supply chain management preferred

• SAP MM advanced level, MS Office advanced level
• Fluency in both English and German (written and spoken)

• Ability to analyze operational problems in a short time based on data-driven KPIs and / or unexpected critical situations (eg Delivery Problems)
