What you'll do:

The Business Development Manager supports leadership by delivering data-driven insights, market intelligence, and strategic analysis to enable sustainable business growth. This role focuses on business performance reviews, market and competitor analysis, and identification of growth opportunities using internal platforms and external market trends. The position operates as a seasoned individual contributor, partnering closely with Strategy, Marketing, Product Management, and Sales to influence decision-making and execution.

Business Performance & Reporting
• Prepare and consolidate monthly, quarterly, and business review reports for ES APAC & BU, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and actionable insights.
• Analyze business performance drivers, variances, and trends to support leadership reviews and strategic discussions.
Market & Strategic Analysis
• Analyze market trends, customer segments, and industry dynamics to deliver strategic insights that support UPS and related business growth.
• Translate complex market data into clear recommendations to inform strategy, prioritization, and investment decisions.

Competitive Intelligence
• Track and analyze competitors' activities, offerings, and product directions, identifying implications for Eaton's UPS and power quality portfolio.
• Provide structured competitive insights to guide new product planning, positioning, and roadmap discussions.
Growth Opportunity Identification
• Leverage SWP platform data, internal analytics, and external market intelligence to identify growth opportunities, whitespace areas, and emerging segments.
• Partner with Product Management, Marketing, and Sales to assess opportunity sizing, feasibility, and strategic fit.
Cross functional Collaboration
• Work closely with APAC Strategy, BU teams, Product Line Management, Marketing, and Sales to align insights with execution priorities.
• Support ad hoc strategic initiatives, deep-dive analyses, and leadership requests related to growth, portfolio optimization, and market expansion.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Economics, Marketing, or related field.
  • Master's degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred.
  • Typically 5-8 years of experience in business development, strategy, market analysis, consulting, or related roles.
  • Experience in UPS, power quality, electrical, industrial, or B2B technology markets strongly preferred.Proven experience working with regional (APAC) or global stakeholders.
  • Strong strategic thinking but also attention to details and excution.
  • Strong communication skill to face all stakeholder, including both internal and external.
  • Result-oriented.
  • Strong analytical skills that senstive to data, number and what is behind, knowing basic finance knowledge.
  • Good Spoken English to communicate with all regions.
