Associate Engineer- Electrical

What you'll do:

• Review and interpret customer specifications & requirements, electrical drawings and mechanical drawings, preparing the general arrangement drawing, Schematic, Single line, three line and Wiring Diagram & BOM.

• Collaborate with sales and front end teams to clarify technical needs.

• Design Low voltage assemblies, which includes GA, SLD, power and control circuits, and LV/MV eqipments , component and protection devices.

• Conduct feasibility analysis and validation of customer specific designs.

• Work with engineering peers as well as cross-functional personnel to ensure custom designs meet customer expectations.

• Work closely with DSE, manufacturing, and project engineering teams to refine LVA designs.

• Ensure adherence to international standards such as ANSI, UL, IEEE, IEC for designing/drafting of electrical circuits and Knowledge of ANSI symbols.

• Application of standard industry drafting/modeling practices. Demonstrates proficiency with 2D CAD tools for electrical systems.

• Communicate effectively with stakeholders, customer, team members and cross functional team, both verbal & written.

• Responsible in understanding working principles of various LVA equipment like Circuit breaker, Transformer coordination, Relay, Metering components, switches, Lamps etc.

• Demonstrate Hands on experience with drafting tools such as AutoCAD and Design Automation.

• Responsible to manage electrical work efficiently and switch between these work swiftly.

• Responsible to lead Desing Automation drawing standardization and implement the new process in the team.

• Perform control/power cable sizing and component mounting in switchgear. Interprets Metering & modes of communication (communication protocols).

• Select and integrate appropriate electrical components such as circuit breakers, contactors, relays, metering devices).

• Provide input and feedback for continuous improvement of processes and systems.

• Perform Quality Checks to ensure drawings meet Eaton and customer standards / requirements.

• Perform other related duties as required.

Qualifications:

Education level required BE/Btech

Years and area of experience required 1.5-2 Years

Technical knowledge Electrical Engineering

Soft skills Good Communication skills, Influencing skills, Strong Team Player ability
