Assembly Technician, 1st Shift
Eaton's ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a Assembly Technician, 1st Shift.
The rate for this position is $20.00 per hour.
This position is also eligible for a varible incentive program.

What you'll do:
As an Assembly Technician, you will assemble, wire, fit, and modify components used in the production of medium- and high-voltage indoor and outdoor assemblies. This includes breaker and auxiliary compartments, breakers, customer service orders, power modules, and all related sub-assemblies.
- Work from manufacturing information, electrical and mechanical drawings, sketches, and written or verbal instructions from supervisors or engineering, following all established procedures.
- Complete all required ISO documentation, quality and customer checklists, feedback forms, and production reports for supervision, drafting, customer service, and engineering.
- Mount and install electrical equipment and perform necessary wiring operations.
- Maintain minimum Kanban inventory levels and report shortages to the appropriate personnel.
- Inspect all assemblies to ensure hardware is secure, components are present, and units meet cleanliness and quality standards.
- Respond to change notices, customer-requested modifications, and development requirements.
- Support engineering, drafting, and supervision with customer-driven development or improvement projects.
- Work consistently according to manufacturing information, drawings, sketches, supervisor instructions, and established procedures.
Qualifications:
Basic:
- High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
- Eaton does not provide immigration sponsorship or support for this position. This includes, but is not limited to, CPT, OPT, STEM OPT, F 1 to H 1B cap registration, O 1, E 3, TN status, or I 485 job portability.
- No relocation assistance is available. Only candidates within a 50 mile radius of Greenwood, SC will be considered. Active Duty Military Service members are exempt from this geographical requirement.
Preferred:
- 3 months of industrial manufacturing experience
- 3 months of experience using hand and pneumatic (air) tools
- South Carolina Manufacturing Certification (SCMC) or equivalent
Position Criteria:
- Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as business needs require.
- Ability to safely use hand and power tools, step ladders, and cranes to assemble products and verify quality in a Lean environment.
- Proficiency with standard computer applications (Microsoft Outlook and Teams) and job specific systems such as ENOVIA.
- Strong verbal and written communication, persuasive abilities, and analytical problem solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals and teams in a collaborative environment.
Physical Requirements (with or without reasonable accommodation):
- Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, reach at or above shoulder level, grip, and use hands to handle or feel objects and materials.
- Frequently required to stoop and perform tasks involving lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to or exceeding 50 pounds.
- Vision requirements include near and far vision, depth perception, and color distinction.
Work Environment:
- Regular exposure to noise while performing job duties.
- Frequent exposure to dust in the work area.
