Application Engineer
What you'll do:
AE is responsible for technical evaluation, estimation, proposal preparation, and order execution support for Cable Management Systems including Cable Trays, Cable Ladders, Wire Mesh Trays, Strut & Channel Systems, Cable Cleats, GRP/FRP Systems, and associated accessories.
The role requires reviewing customer specifications, preparing techno-commercial offers, generating BOMs, ensuring compliance with project standards, and supporting projects across Oil & Gas, Industrial, Infrastructure, and Data Center sectors.
• Review customer RFQs, specifications, drawings, and cable routing layouts to define the scope of supply
• Prepare techno-commercial proposals, cost estimations, and optimized solutions for cable management systems
• Select suitable cable trays, ladders, channels, cable cleats, wire mesh trays, and GRP/FRP systems based on project requirements
• Prepare detailed BOMs and costing sheets
• Develop technical submittals, compliance statements, and engineering documentation.
• Interpret electrical layouts, single-line diagrams, and cable routing plans.
• Ensure compliance with applicable standards such as IEC, NEC, NEMA, BS, and customer specifications.
• Coordinate with factories, sourcing, and production teams for special requirements and project execution.
• Support order engineering activities from order receipt through production release.
• Work closely with Sales, Project Management, and Manufacturing teams to ensure timely project execution.
• Respond to customer technical queries and consultant comments.
• Support localization, cost-out, and process improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in Cable Management Systems.
Skills:
SAP, MS Office, AutoCad, SolidWorks, E3D
Tendering & Estimation, Proposal Engineering, Product Selection, BOM Preparation, Technical Documentation, Customer Specification Review, Project Coordination
• Experience in estimation, proposals, and application engineering.
• Good understanding of customer specifications and industry standards.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
