Accountant (Payroll)
Eaton's ES AMER PCS division is currently seeking a Accountant (Payroll).
What you'll do:
Job Summary
The primary function of this role is to ensure the accurate calculation, auditing, and reporting of assigned payroll. This position is responsible for performing first-level audit reviews of payroll transactions. It also involves generating supporting documentation for the calculation of accrued benefits for terminated employees. Supports reports generation, data entry and payment generations (checks)
Job Responsibilities
This role will be responsible to support payroll processes based on Eaton policies and local labor regulations at Dom. Rep.. It will be responsible to data entry, calculate and processes based on salary and benefits approved for the employees assigned.
- Responsible for calculation of assigned payrolls.
- Responsible for 1st audit review of payments review taxes and deductions.
- Responsible audits and resolve any discrepancies with the payroll.
- Generates AUTODETERMINACION - TSS report for payment
- Prepare and submit payroll reports to the supervisor.
- Generate reports of Christmas bonus (regalía) and TSS (accrual reports).
- Generate supporting information for the calculation of accrued rights for terminated employees (Prestaciones), such as deductions and pending payments.
- Generate reports and request letters for the opening of bank accounts for new employees, and enter those accounts into the payroll system.
- Generate weekly reports of hours worked for the plants.
- Update information in the projection (forecast) report.
- Generate and submit headcount information reports to the GFSC team. Prepare reports for direct labor hours input and generate TSS files.
- Generate monthly reports of hours worked (labor hours) by plant and income reports (AER).
- Perform payroll information reconciliations and send supporting documentation to the GFSC team.
- Organize, classify, and record checks, check copies, and cancellation processing.
- Provide support in generating payroll processes in coordination with payroll analysts.
- Support any other related tasks within the payroll/finance processes.
- Back up for other Payroll analyst
Qualifications:
Qualifications
Education level required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, industrial Engineering, Finance, Economics or related areas
Years and area of experience required
Minimun 1 year of experience in accounting area
Technical knowledge
Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, advanced Excel skills (able to create pivot tables). Prefer: PBI
English Language Skills: Intermediate to advanced level of English.
Knowledge of Regulatory Laws of the Dominican Republic: Labor laws related to payroll, taxes, etc.
Preferred: Knowledge of Oracle and SPN software.
