The Impact you will have in this role:

The Systems Engineering family is responsible for the entire technical effort to evolve and verify solutions that satisfy client needs. The primary focus is centered on reducing risk and improving the efficiency, performance, stability, security, and quality of all systems and platforms. The Platform Hosting & Engineering role specializes in the development, implementation, and support of all distributed, mainframe, and network hosting services across the firm. Responsible for the installation, configuration, programming, and support of operating systems, complex networks, and distributed environments, deploying solutions to increase overall system reliability across the firm.

Your Primary Responsibilities:

  • As part of the IT team, you will work with your users from the Tax team to support all upcoming initiatives.
  • Contribute to the installation and configuration of Vertex Oseries and Vertex VAT Compliance.
  • Assist in the support of production issues related to assigned areas
  • Participate in weekend implementations and Disaster Recovery tests as required
  • Draft system documentation and supporting documents to ensure transparency of design to minimize future maintenance costs
  • Participate in the delivery of targeted business outcomes by informing the technical decision-making process
  • Follow established DTCC requirements, principles and models that guide technology decisions for the enterprise (best practices)
  • Follow the governance, standards and best practices established by DTCC
  • Contribute to solutions that enable infrastructure agility, scalability, and resilience to support required product needs throughout product lifecycle.
  • Aligns risk and control processes into day to day responsibilities to monitor and mitigate risk; escalates appropriately


Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of related experience
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.

  • Knowledge and experience with tax applications.

    o Vertex O-Series

    o Vertex VAT Compliance

    o Vertex Indirect Tax Returns

    o Oracle ERP Tax

    o Vertex Accelerator for Oracle ERP
  • Collaborates well within and across teams.
  • Communicates openly with team members and others.
  • Works with the team to review deliverables and ensure quality and accuracy.
  • Adheres to established rules and procedures when performing work.
