As a member of the Repository & Derivatives Services (RDS) Product Management team, the Product Owner (Senior Associate) plays a critical role in delivering strategic initiatives that drive innovation, efficiency, and growth across the RDS domain. This role focuses on translating product direction into tangible, production-ready capabilities, leveraging data, analytics, and emerging technologies to enhance client value and support DTCC's broader strategic objectives. You will work cross-functionally to solve complex problems, deliver high-quality solutions, and contribute to product evolution in a rapidly evolving financial landscape.

Your Primary Responsibilities:

  • Own and manage the product backlog, translating product direction into clear user stories, workflows, business rules, data requirements, and acceptance criteria based on real-world scenarios.
  • Guide the team in decomposing requirements into deliverable increments, maintaining just-enough documentation and a running functional specification for final deliverables.
  • Review enhancement requests, defects, and production feedback to determine appropriate solutions while considering downstream impacts on existing features, data flows, and user experience.
  • Analyze regulatory, client, and business requirements, and lead walkthroughs, demos, and functionality feedback sessions with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support the design, prototyping, and delivery of strategic AI and analytics use cases, ensuring they are practical, scalable, and aligned to business outcomes.
  • Develop a strong understanding of confirmations and transaction reporting datasets, including the underlying insights, data structures, workflows, and business logic.
  • Partner with internal teams such as Sales, Operations, Technology, Legal, and Finance to support operational readiness, align risk and control considerations, and escalate appropriately.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, Financial Mathematics, Engineering, Finance, or a related quantitative / technical discipline

Talents Needed for Success:

  • Strong execution mindset; able to turn product direction into deliverable outcomes
  • Prior experience in financial services, RegTech, regulatory reporting, transaction reporting, or post-trade technology
  • Hands-on experience with Agile delivery practices, including Scrum, Kanban, or scaled Agile delivery
  • Hands-on experience with JIRA or equivalent backlog / delivery management tooling
  • Working knowledge of SQL and data analysis concepts
  • Experience with data modelling or data-driven product delivery
  • Experience with Snowflake or similar cloud data platforms
  • Familiarity with Snowflake Cortex, AI-enabled analytics, or comparable analytics tooling
  • Python or similar scripting experience
  • Comfortable moving between structured delivery and exploratory prototyping
  • Able to translate business logic, data, and user needs into clear requirements
  • Strong analytical problem-solving and attention to detail
  • Confident presenting demos, gathering client feedback and supporting sales functions
  • Produces high-quality outputs with limited supervision
  • Strong collaboration across product, technology, data, and client-facing teams
