About our Internship Program:
The Summer Internship Program is a unique and challenging 10-week experience for diverse, talented, high-performing individuals interested in various aspects of the financial and technology industry. Contingent upon business needs, performance and completion of degree, our internship serves as a pipeline to our full-time early-career program EDGE.

The impact you will have in this role:
As the premier post-trade market infrastructure for the global financial services industry, DTCC simplifies the complexities of Core Clearance & Settlement across transaction types and asset classes, increasing transparency, mitigating risk, and driving efficiencies for financial firms. Working with the product owner and the squad you will support the translation of the product vision into squad deliverables to achieve the product strategy, aligned with improving value to the client. Supporting the translation of this vision will be done through handling scope and product backlog in collaboration with the product owner and key partners such as product management. Your work will be in support of a core financial industry service that is being modified to meet regulatory changes and to keep our services competitive in the market.
Your Primary Responsibilities:
- Attending Daily Standup meetings to understand the various squad members and the roles they play in delivery of changes to our services.
- Learning our Delivery Practice (Excellence) standards and following these standards when creating and updating JIRA entries.
- Attending backlog refinement sessions and updating user stories for completeness
- Attending weekly project calls where the team meet to align ongoing work.
- Attending Delivery meetings to understand escalation of issues affecting scope and timeline for on-going projects
- Gain and understanding of squad sprint metrics. Use data insights to drive recommendations for improvements within delivery squads.
- Using content of meetings and documentation to increase understanding of the role of Core Clearance and Settlement organization within DTCC.
- Rotate through various squads to determine best practices to be shared with the rest of the organization.

Qualifications:
- Candidates must be working towards a bachelor's degree in the following curriculums: in Business, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, or Business & Technology Management.
- Candidates must have authorization to work permanently in the US without the need for sponsorship (now or in the future)
- Candidates must have minimum of a 3.2 GPA.
Talents Needed for Success:
- Must demonstrate superior analytical and communication skills.
- Strong interest in the financial services industry, with previous internship experience a plus
- Strong skills in Excel and Access/BI/other reporting tools.
- Knowledge of Agile principles/methodologies and familiarity with the Software Development lifecycle.
- Knowledge of SharePoint and JIRA a plus.
The salary range is indicative for roles at the same level within DTCC across all US locations.
