The Information Technology group delivers secure, reliable technology solutions that enable DTCC to be the trusted infrastructure of the global capital markets. The team delivers high-quality information through activities that include development of essential, building infrastructure capabilities to meet client needs and implementing data standards and governance.

The Impact You Will Have in This Role
As a Principal Business Systems Analyst, you will play a key strategic role connecting business, product, and technology teams to deliver secure, reliable, high - quality solutions that support DTCC's post - trade market infrastructure. In this highly visible position, you'll shape solution design, drive clarity across complex workflows, and elevate delivery excellence from concept through deployment.
You'll define end - to - end solutions, translate business needs into actionable functional designs, strengthen risk and control integration, and enable better user and client experiences across the platforms you support.

Your Primary Responsibilities:
- Translate business requirements into clear, complete functional specifications, process flows, workflow maps, and sequence/state diagrams.
- Lead collaborative design workshops with Product, Technology, and business stakeholders to define scope, MVP, features, and acceptance criteria.
- Partner with project teams to refine estimates, resource plans, and delivery timelines.
- Provide ongoing clarification to developers, architects, and Test Engineers throughout the delivery lifecycle.
- Ensure strong functional documentation aligned to DTCC standards, including workflows, data flows, and system behaviors.
- Support SIT and UAT by reviewing test plans, validating traceability, analyzing defects, and guiding teams to resolution.
- Identify control gaps, recommend automation opportunities, and champion practices that reduce operational risk.
- Promote delivery best practices and model behaviors that drive high - quality, predictable execution.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience delivering complex technology products or platforms.
- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent practical experience.
Talent Needed for Success
- Strong ability to interpret programming logic, technical specifications, system design documents, and data flows
- Hands - on experience with Agile delivery (story writing, story mapping, backlog refinement, roadmap support)
- Excellent analytical and problem - solving skills rooted in data - driven decision making
- Ability to simplify and articulate complex business + technical concepts for cross - functional teams
- Experience translating business needs into technical requirements and reviewing programming specifications
- Proven influence - without - authority skills across multiple stakeholder groups
- Strong communication skills with the ability to drive alignment and resolve ambiguity
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast - paced environment
- Commitment to transparency, continuous improvement, and coaching team members
Additional Information
- Domain knowledge in asset servicing (corporate actions, proxy, distributions), settlements, or post - trade workflows.
- Experience with financial services risk and control frameworks
- Familiarity with data governance, data standards, and enterprise documentation practices
The salary range is indicative for roles at the same level within DTCC across all US locations. Serves as a dedicated technology resource for advancing DTCC's business opportunities and providing industry thought leadership for leveraging new technology. The goal of this new department is to partner internally with IT, our business and regulatory divisions and externally with clients, regulators, and fintech vendors, to help build new platforms and business models to advance DTCC's mission to support the financial markets.
