The Impact you will have in this role:

The Systems Engineering family is responsible for the entire technical effort to evolve and verify solutions that satisfy client needs. The primary focus is centered on reducing risk and improving the efficiency, performance, stability, security, and quality of all systems and platforms. The Platform Hosting & Engineering role specializes in the development, implementation, and support of all distributed, mainframe, and network hosting services across the firm. Responsible for the installation, configuration, programming, and support of operating systems, complex networks, and distributed environments, deploying solutions to increase overall system reliability across the firm.

Your Primary Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the installation and configuration of selected technologies
• Provide immediate support for production issues related to areas of expertise
• Provide support for off-hour / weekend implementation and Disaster Recovery tests as required
• Author system documentation and supporting documents to ensure transparency of design to minimize future maintenance costs
• Contribute to the delivery of targeted business outcomes by supporting the technical decision-making process
• Analyze changing business requirements to determine impact and optimal solution regarding defining the future state technical architecture
• Follow established DTCC requirements, principles and models that guide technology decisions for the enterprise (best practices)
• Build knowledge of technology trends and the practical application of existing, new, and emerging technologies
• Monitor metrics to ensure system performance meets requirements
• Follow the governance, standards and best practices established by DTCC
• Deliver solutions that enable infrastructure agility, scalability, and resilience to support required product needs throughout product lifecycle.
• Aligns risk and control processes into day to day responsibilities to monitor and mitigate risk; escalates appropriately

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 4 years of related experience
• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience

Talents Needed for Success:

• Must have working knowledge Storage technologies such as Dell/EMC VMAX, PowerMax, Unity, VNX and VNXe platforms and NetApp
• Must have working knowledge of Linux, Windows operating systems and networking principles
• Must have knowledge of Python, Ansible and Terraform
