The Lead IT Business Management Associate is an individual contributor role responsible for supporting governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) activities and assisting with product management execution for internal technology platforms and tools. The role focuses on coordinating deliverables, maintaining documentation, supporting risk and control processes, and partnering with cross functional teams to ensure regulatory and control requirements are incorporated into day-to-day operations and product development efforts.

This position operates under established frameworks, policies, and direction provided by senior team members and management. The Lead IT Business Management Associate is expected to exercise sound judgment, manage assigned work independently, and contribute to team initiatives, while escalating risks, issues, and decisions appropriately.

Specific Responsibilities

GRC Support

  • Support the execution of governance, risk, and compliance activities related to technology and cloud initiatives
  • Assist with risk assessments, control documentation, evidence collection, and testing activities in support of audits, examinations, and internal reviews
  • Coordinate with engineering, security, risk, and compliance partners to gather information and ensure timely completion of GRC deliverables
  • Maintain and update GRC artifacts, including policies, procedures, control descriptions, risk logs, and issue tracking documentation
  • Track remediation activities, action items, and deadlines, and escalate delays or risks to management as needed
  • Monitor updates to internal policies, standards, and regulatory guidance and assist with impact assessments under management direction


Product Management Support

  • Support product management activities for internal platforms and tools, including requirements documentation, backlog grooming, and sprint or release coordination
  • Translate business, risk, and compliance requirements into clear, actionable user stories or functional documentation
  • Assist with roadmap execution by tracking dependencies, milestones, and delivery status
  • Prepare and maintain product-related documentation, including requirements, workflows, and operating procedures
  • Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying gaps, inefficiencies, or enhancement opportunities and raising them to product leadership


Cross Functional & Operational Support

  • Act as a point of coordination between technical teams and nontechnical stakeholders to support alignment and information flow
  • Prepare status updates, metrics, and presentation materials for team leads and management
  • Participate in team initiatives and cross functional projects as assigned
  • Support ad hoc analysis, documentation, and special projects as needed


Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 6 years of related experience
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience


Talents Needed for Success:

  • Strong organizational and analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously
  • Experience supporting risk, compliance, or control-related activities
  • Working knowledge of product management concepts such as requirements gathering, backlog management, and delivery coordination
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document processes and communicate clearly with diverse stakeholders
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and SharePoint; familiarity with reporting or visualization tools a plus
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment with members across different locations


The salary range is indicative for roles at the same level within DTCC across all US locations.
