Within DTCC's Institutional Trade Processing (ITP) organization, we deliver platform capabilities that enable clients to process high-volume, time-sensitive transactions across global markets. ITP Platform Services provides shared capabilities that enable secure and consistent interaction between clients and ITP applications, including identity and access management, client interface and gateway services, and data transformation and validation. These services are foundational to our applications and critical to preserving client experience and operational integrity.

We are seeking a technology-minded Senior Product Owner within the ITP Platform Services team to execute against the platform modernization strategy as applications evolve to the cloud. In this role, you will represent ITP business and client interests within platform delivery, ensuring priorities, backlog decisions, and trade-offs reflect business outcomes, client experience, and operational realities. You will work closely with technology, operations, and client-facing teams to plan and deliver platform capabilities that enable modernization while supporting client satisfaction, business continuity, and long-term scalability.

The Impact you will have in this role:

As a member of the ITP Platform Services team, the Product Owner is responsible for translating modernization objectives into a clear product roadmap and prioritized backlog that supports ITP business strategy and client outcomes. The role owns scope and backlog management, working in close collaboration with engineering squads, product and technology leadership, and key stakeholders across ITP technology, operations, and client services.

The Product Owner plays a critical role in supporting the modernization of core ITP applications by ensuring that requirements, priorities, and trade-offs are grounded in business value, client impact, and operational considerations. This includes working with stakeholders to understand client workflows and usage patterns, incorporating client and operational perspectives into product decisions, and ensuring that delivered solutions enhance client experience, business resilience, and long-term platform sustainability.

Your Primary Responsibilities:

  • Own the product roadmap and prioritized backlog for ITP Platform Services supporting cloud modernization.
  • Act as Product Owner for shared platform services, accountable for scope, priorities, and value-based trade-offs.
  • Partner with engineering to define clear epics, features, and acceptance criteria that enable consuming application teams.
  • Collaborate with application product teams, operations, and client-facing groups to understand and manage downstream impacts.
  • Plan and manage business and client impact, including sequencing, dependencies, and readiness for platform changes.
  • Balance modernization objectives with resiliency, stability, and business continuity in a mission-critical environment.
  • Identify and manage cross-application dependencies, risks, and trade-offs, providing clear recommendations to leadership.
  • Provide outcome-focused updates to governance and stakeholder forums on priorities, progress, and impacts.
  • Continuously improve platform product practices to ensure measurable value for ITP applications and clients.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in product management or product ownership, supporting technology-enabled platforms or shared services
  • Proven experience owning scope, priorities, and backlog for platform or enabling capabilities that support multiple applications
  • Experience supporting large-scale modernization initiatives in complex, enterprise environments
  • Demonstrated experience working in regulated or mission-critical environments (strongly preferred)
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent professional experience


Talents Needed for Success

  • Technology-minded Product Owner with the ability to understand, discuss, and visually articulate system flows, integrations, and dependencies
  • Working knowledge of shared services, including client interfaces/gateways, identity and access management (IAM), and data transformation and validation capabilities (e.g., ETL-style services)
  • Experience operating in Agile environments (Scrum) with hands-on backlog refinement and prioritization
  • Ability to represent business and client interests in platform delivery decisions and trade-offs
  • Comfortable partnering closely with engineering and architecture teams to translate direction into executable work
  • Experience supporting large-scale modernization or platform initiatives
  • Strong awareness of client impact, operational readiness, and business continuity
  • Proficient with work management tools (e.g., JIRA) to support prioritization and transparency
  • Experience in regulatedor mission-critical environments preferred


The salary range is indicative for roles at the same level within DTCC across all US locations.
