The Chief Client Office (CCO) is focused on providing a consistent Client Experience across all business lines and geographies, enabling enhanced Client Satisfaction, Revenue Growth and Business Line Success. The CCO function includes Sales, Partners, Relationship Management, Integration, Marketing & Communications and Sales Analytics & Operations.

- DTCC offers a flexible/hybrid model of 3 days onsite and 2 days remote (onsite Tuesdays, Wednesdays and a third day unique to each team or employee).
The Impact you will have in this role:
As Director - Client Lead, you will manage a defined portfolio of client relationships and provide leverage and strategic support to Senior Client Leads who oversee DTCC's top-tier global clients. You will apply the same trusted advisor and strategic partnership approach to drive growth and engagement across your client set, while ensuring seamless alignment with DTCC's broader client strategy. This position requires a seasoned professional with deep experience navigating senior client relationships (Senior Vice President, Managing Director, Executive Vice President) and driving commercial growth and retention, strategic alignment, and cross-functional collaboration through insight and innovation. A strong understanding of Capital Markets infrastructure, clearing and settlements, and traded products is critical to best understand your clients challenges and DTCC's solutions.
Your Primary Responsibilities:
Client Relationship & Strategic Engagement:
- Serve as the primary liaison for a defined portfolio of select clients, maintaining front-to-back relationships and ensuring the delivery of the whole firm to clients
- Provide support to Senior Client Leads through ensuring comprehensive messaging, collated materials, and tracking of ongoing efforts
- Expand and deepen senior level client relationships to strengthen strategic alignment, elevate DTCC's position as a trusted partner, and drive growth across products, functional areas, and markets
- Foster trusted partnerships by anticipating client needs, influencing decision makers, and uncovering new commercial and strategic opportunities
- Represent the voice of the client in shaping DTCC's strategy, product roadmap, and service model ensuring client perspectives inform enterprise-wide priorities
- Drive joint planning and execution in partnership with clients to strategically drive industry-leading innovation and deliver measurable business value
- Partner with General Managers to ensure client insights shape product roadmaps and strategic priorities
- Act as an escalation point for the most complex issues, providing client perspective and advocacy to guide resolution and maintain client confidence
- Collaborate with Chief Client office leadership on broader segment-wide observations, highlight emerging trends, and escalate items as necessary for full sector alignment
Revenue Retention, Growth & Commercial Expansion:
- Sustain and grow client revenue by minimizing churn, strengthening relationships, and driving organic growth by ensuring clients fully understand and leverage the breadth of DTCC's services and solutions, while continuously demonstrating relevance through industry awareness and innovation
- Act as a trusted advisor by uncovering opportunities that align with DTCC capabilities; engage Growth Team to drive sales process, while providing ongoing client advocacy to enable Growth Team success and ensure client satisfaction
- Partner closely with Product and Consulting Growth teams to identify, drive, and close new revenue opportunities within your defined portfolio of accounts
- Embed client insights are embedded into product innovation and go-to-market strategies

Risk & Compliance:
- Ensure client engagement aligns with evolving regulatory requirements and risk frameworks, upholding DTCC's standards for operational excellence and market integrity
- Lead discussions on market structure changes and operational resilience, ensuring clients understand and adopt emerging best practices
- Fosters a risk management culture through implementation and demonstration of processes and procedures which identify and mitigate risk

Qualifications:
- 10+ years of related experience in client relationship management, strategic account leadership, or business development within financial services (e.g., broker-dealer, investment banking, market infrastructure, or technology solutions)
- Demonstrated success managing complex, global client portfolios and navigating matrixed organizations
- Proven ability to translate client and industry needs into actionable plans that drive measurable business outcomes
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree (master's, MBA, or equivalent experience) is a plus

- Strong commercial acumen with a record of driving profitable growth, retention, and strategic expansion across sophisticated client portfolios through proactive account management
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage at senior levels within client organizations
- Outstanding communication, analytical, and stakeholder leadership skills; ability to develop and articulate a vision in written, verbal, and presentation materials
- Hands-on problem solver who balances strategic thinking with a willingness to engage directly in execution to move initiatives forward and support team delivery
- Ability to work collaboratively with various departments to deliver outstanding client experience
- Strong digital and data fluency, leveraging analytics, CRM platforms, and visualization tools to uncover trends, inform strategic decisions, and scale client engagement for measurable business impact
- Deep understanding of market infrastructure, post trade services, and the interconnectivity buy and sell side firms and associated market participants
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and deliver results in a matrixed initiatives and deliver results in a matrixed environment
- Continuous learner and innovator, staying ahead of industry trends to anticipate client needs and inform DTCC's product and service evolution
The salary range is indicative for roles at the same level within DTCC across all US locations.
