The Information Technology group delivers secure, reliable technology solutions that enable DTCC to be the trusted infrastructure of the global capital markets. The team delivers high-quality information through activities that include development of essential, building infrastructure capabilities to meet client needs and implementing data standards and governance.

The Impact you will have in this role:
This role serves as a key leader for the Web3 Platform Infrastructure team, supporting a wide range of business functions across DTCC. As the manager of this organization, you will provide direction on engineering best practices across software development, DevSecOps, platform architecture, and security architecture, while partnering with senior leadership on strategic decisions that guide the evolution of our Web3 capabilities. The platform includes both in-house-built services and integrated vendor solutions.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing, developing, and scaling a high-performing global engineering team. This includes setting clear goals, driving accountability, fostering a culture of technical excellence, empowering team members through coaching and mentorship, and ensuring ongoing growth in skills and capabilities. You will oversee resource planning, recruitment, and talent development to ensure the team can meet current and future business needs.
Your Primary Responsibilities:
- Foster a team environment where engineers clearly understand how their work contributes to the organization's platform strategy and broader business goals.
- Oversee the team's day-to-day operations, ensuring timely delivery of platform engineering initiatives and resiliency testing across multiple global locations.
- Coach, mentor, and develop team members, supporting both technical growth and career progression.
- Lead assessments of the current platform ecosystem to identify critical gaps, legacy components, and technical debt, and drive actionable plans for modernization and improvement.
- Lead a team of platform engineers and technical architects, while also coordinating virtual contributions from domain subject matter experts as needed.
- Support efforts to attract, grow, and retain high-quality technical talent by providing constructive feedback, career coaching, and development opportunities.
- Ensure that team execution aligns with organizational policies, engineering standards, and compliance requirements.
- Reduce operational and security risk by enforcing proper controls, following established procedures, and demonstrating strong ethical judgment in decision-making.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience
Talents Needed for Success:
- 7+ years of hands-on software or platform engineering experience, including 3+ years in a technical leadership or management role driving engineering teams and platform initiatives.
- Proven track record designing, building, and operating large-scale, cloud-native platforms, with a deep understanding of distributed systems, reliability engineering, and infrastructure automation.
- Strong command of Agile delivery practices and enterprise-scale software engineering processes, including CI/CD, DevSecOps, and iterative development.
- Exceptional communication, collaboration, and leadership abilities, with the capability to influence, align, and guide cross-functional engineering teams and stakeholders.
- Practical experience with public cloud platforms, specifically Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS), and the ability to architect and manage hybrid or multi-cloud solutions.
- Good understanding of cloud security, data governance, compliance frameworks, and operational risk, with the ability to embed these controls into platform designs and engineering practices.

Serves as a dedicated technology resource for advancing DTCC's business opportunities and providing industry thought leadership for leveraging new technology. The goal of this new department is to partner internally with IT, our business and regulatory divisions and externally with clients, regulators, and fintech vendors, to help build new platforms and business models to advance DTCC's mission to support the financial markets.
