Team Lead, Sales Acceleration
About the Team
The Pre-Sales organization at DoorDash supports our sales reps across all sales segments to drive consistent, repeatable success throughout onboarding and beyond. The Sales Acceleration team focuses on developing performance-ready reps through workflow-based onboarding, hands-on coaching, strategic training initiatives, and close cross-functional collaboration with Sales Leadership and Operations.
About the Role
The Team Lead, Sales Acceleration is a high-impact operator and thought partner who operates at the intersection of training facilitation, onboarding, change management strategy and system creation. This role acts as an amplifier for SAM, helping shape and build programs while driving clear, consistent communication across the organization so strategy translates into scalable execution and sustained adoption.
This role exists to own the execution of onboarding and partner in the evolution of early ramp training motions, while helping design the programs, systems, and communication mechanisms that allow Sales Acceleration to scale. It is highly hands-on and facilitation-driven, with accountability for both day-to-day delivery and continuous improvement.
You're excited about this opportunity because you will...
- Because you have at least 3 years of experience in a quota carrying role and have a deep understanding of sales process and motions.
- Leverage a deep understanding of the sales process to coach new hires on effective sales motions, workflows, and execution.
- Own the day-to-day execution of onboarding and early ramp, including primary ownership of XLR8, training delivery, scheduling, communications, and rep ramp follow-through.
- Lead facilitation-heavy onboarding environments (including XLR8), ensuring clear expectations, consistent experience, and strong application of learning for new hires.
- Support new hires during their first weeks in market through in-market travel and field coaching motions, reinforcing workflows, activity standards, sales hygiene, and role expectations in close partnership with managers.
- Partner in the monitoring of early ramp performance and reporting, identifying reps at risk and proactively reinforcing expectations and support plans with both reps and managers.
- Serve as an execution owner for new Sales Acceleration initiatives tied to onboarding, ensuring work moves forward cleanly and consistently.
- Design and facilitate onboarding and early-ramp training experiences with a focus on driving increased production and behavior change.
- Create structured learning environments that encourage participation, reflection, and ownership.
We're excited about you because...
- Act as a thought partner to Sales Acceleration leadership in shaping onboarding, ramp, and XLR8 strategy, helping translate direction into clear priorities, programs, and operating rhythms for Onboarding and beyond.
- Help design, build, and iterate scalable onboarding and change management systems (program structure, documentation, communication cadences, reinforcement mechanisms) so initiatives are repeatable and less manual over time.
- Translate strategy and program changes into clear, actionable messaging for reps, managers, and cross-functional partners, helping ensure expectations are understood and reinforced consistently.
- Partner with leadership to plan and sequence change rollouts, helping refine language, timing, and structure to support adoption and minimize disruption during ramp.
- Synthesize feedback and signals from training environments, in-market coaching, managers, and performance data to identify adoption gaps and help recommend targeted adjustments to programs or systems.
- Support the development and evolution of communication materials, training assets, and program updates that reinforce "this is how we do things now" across onboarding and early ramp.
- Act as a co-connector across Sales, Operations, Enablement, and other partners to help ensure onboarding and ramp programs are aligned, supported, and grounded in rep realities.
Nice to Have
- Prior leadership experience (e.g., Team Captain, Assistant Manager)
- Experience supporting onboarding environments or sales coaching
- Familiarity with instructional design or content creation
- Experience coaching to systems and workflow adoption
- Experience in both inside and outside sales roles
- Bachelor's degree (preferred but not required)
