Delivery Team Lead
About the Team
Our New Verticals Strategy & Operations team is re-inventing the way consumers think about grocery, convenience, alcohol and retail delivery through both our first-party and third-party operations businesses. DashMart is our first-party offering which serves as a fulfillment platform for DoorDash customers when they need essential items in a hurry - including groceries, household essentials, local favorites and so much more. We have sites all over the country and are expanding the selection we carry and services we offer our customers today!
About the Role
We are hiring a Delivery Team Lead to join the DashMart Supply Chain team, focused on overseeing inbound deliveries and driving strong on-time performance across our vendor network. You will lead and manage a 4-5 person team responsible for vendor outreach, real-time delivery updates, and cross-functional coordination between our sites and vendors. You will build a deep understanding of vendor performance and internal workflows and apply that knowledge to strengthen vendor accountability, improve team processes, and highlight key drivers of on-time delivery degradation.
You're excited about this opportunity because you will...
- Lead on-time delivery initiatives - Own OTD reporting and drive measurable improvement in on-time delivery for our top vendors, developing longer-term approaches to sustainably improve performance
- Manage and mentor a team of Delivery Specialists - Develop talent, set team goals, and coach team members to strong execution
- Strengthen vendor partnerships - Elevate vendor accountability and collaboration to drive consistent on-time performance and reduce delivery variability
- Build and improve operations - Identify, refine and scale processes for our team's daily operations. Identify systemic root causes and design scalable process improvements across our network.
- Collaborate cross-functionally - Work closely with local operations, vendor management, demand planning, and inventory management to align on goals and execute initiatives
- Analyze - Use data to guide decisions at both the strategic and operational levels, leveraging SQL, dashboards, and google sheets
We're excited about you because...
- You have an ownership mindset: You take responsibility for outcomes, balancing attention to detail with the ability to step back and identify broader trends and opportunities.
- You're analytical: You use data to inform decisions, challenge assumptions, and drive clarity.
- You're a problem solver: You have a talent for synthesizing complex problems and can independently translate high level goals into actionable plans for your team.
- You're an effective communicator: You seamlessly relay information between external partners and internal teams, ensuring alignment, clear expectations, and end-to-end execution.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in supply chain, operations or a related field, including experience managing two or more direct reports
- Strong experience communicating with and managing external vendors or partners
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable working with data tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, dashboards) to analyze performance and inform decisions
- Bachelor's degree required
