Our best Associate Managers are truth seekers who enjoy solving difficult problems, working across the organization and getting 1% better everyday. They combine business context and analytics to take a problem area and implement a customized solution.
In a typical day, you may complete a variety of tasks such as devising and executing experiments to drive growth, diving into data using analytical modeling and SQL skills to explain performance at the lowest level of detail, and building reports and tools that allow teams to scale their work 10x. You will work on cross-functional initiatives coordinating across product, engineering, data science, finance, and more to bring projects from 0-1 and 1-100. You are a generalist that is willing to roll up your sleeves and do whatever it takes to make the business successful. You will report to a Manager on our Dasher Logistics team in the Strategy & Operations organization.
We operate in a hybrid model, and our office is located in downtown Toronto, with the opportunity to travel abroad.
You're excited about this opportunity because you will...
- Analyze. You'll assess the operational and financial impacts of your decisions and iterate based on data. You'll build models, frameworks, processes, and much more.
- Strategize. From first principles, you'll develop the optimal strategy for achieving efficiency in operations. You'll sign up for ambitious goals to improve the quality of deliveries.
- Build. You'll have your fingerprints on all DoorDash operations. You'll do whatever it takes to launch, get 1% better every day, and scale something completely new.
- Lead and collaborate. This role will lean into strategic, cross-functional projects with partners from different geos to ensure success during each quarter.
- Experiment. Run tests and scale insights. Embrace the challenge of having multiple paths forward and no right answer. Growing a business in a competitive market will not be easy.
We're excited about you because...
- You're an operator. You have a talent for managing complex projects, turning high-level goals into actionable plans, and translating insights into scalable processes.
- You love data. You're excited to dive deep into data and tackle tough problems with logic and reasoning. You're comfortable working with large datasets, building models, and writing SQL queries.
- You bring 4+ years of experience in operations, technology, consulting, strategy, business development, banking, analytics, or within a high-growth or early-stage startup. You hold a bachelor's degree or higher - an MBA is a plus.
- You get things done. You know how to prioritize, communicate, execute, and synthesize - whether it's in your day-to-day work or through experiments designed to achieve your goals.
- You are curious. You're a learner who can structure thoughts, findings, and wins clearly. You work hard to understand how your work connects with and impacts other parts of the business, and you're driven by delivering meaningful results.
- You're unafraid of uncharted territory. Rapid change energizes you, and you thrive in new environments. You're resilient and adaptable, able to pivot quickly and move forward even when information is incomplete.
- You're a team player. You balance your own OKRs with broader company goals, making space for collaboration and shared success.
- You demonstrate leadership. You take ownership of your initiatives end-to-end, hold yourself accountable for outcomes, and drive progress with minimal guidance.
- You are collaborative. You bring people along with you, communicate proactively, and contribute to team success without waiting to be asked.
