Associate Manager, Business Development & Partnerships
About the Team
The Partnership team accelerates the growth and innovation of DoorDash's Marketplace and Commerce Platform (Drive, Online Ordering, Net New Bets, etc) businesses by sourcing and expanding technology partnerships. This team works directly with senior leadership across DoorDash to assess the competitive landscape and make strategic decisions about building, buying, or partnering as we decide how to bring the best suite of services to our merchants.
The team works on some of the highest priority and visibility projects that directly impact the P&L for general managers. You will be empowered to challenge the status quo, identify ways to move the needle and take charge of finding scalable solutions to drive growth for the platform with a large portfolio of middleware providers (technology integration partners, such as POS or online ordering aggregators). Not only will you formulate strategy and build tactical plans, you will be responsible for ensuring its execution and achieving tangible outcomes. Finally, it is a highly cross-functional role giving you great exposure to many facets of the business and increasing your network of highly competent thinkers and doers.

About the Role
As an Associate Manager on the Partnerships Team, you will manage a large and growing portfolio of integration partners, with a focus on building strategic relationships, identifying mutual growth opportunities, and aligning partner capabilities with DoorDash's business priorities.
This is a consulting-style role requiring strategic thinking, operational follow-through, and the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders. You'll collaborate with teams across Strategy, Product, Sales, Marketing, and Legal to drive scalable, partner-led growth initiatives across the DoorDash platform.

- Own and grow a portfolio of 300+ middleware and integration partners, identifying opportunities to deepen engagement and accelerate mutual growth.
- Develop scalable go-to-market strategies for new products and initiatives, working closely with cross-functional teams.
- Lead strategic initiatives that impact how DoorDash works with partners-from pricing structures to marketing campaigns to partner onboarding.
- Conduct performance reviews with partners and internal stakeholders, using available data and business insights to drive actionable recommendations.
- Champion operational improvements that increase efficiency and enhance the partner experience.
- Influence internal product, ops, and sales teams to ensure partner feedback is heard and integrated into future roadmaps.
- Present partnership performance updates and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.

- Have 4-6 years of experience in consulting, business development, strategy, partnerships, or a related client-facing or strategic role.
- Excel at managing multiple workstreams and cross-functional initiatives with precision and strategic focus.
- Are a natural relationship builder-comfortable managing both internal stakeholders and external partners.
- Think in frameworks and can synthesize complex problems into clear, actionable insights.
- Have strong communication and storytelling skills-whether in a partner meeting, slide deck, or executive briefing.
- Thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with an ownership mindset and a bias toward results.
- Are detail-oriented but don't lose sight of the bigger picture.
- Are comfortable navigating ambiguity and are energized by the opportunity to help shape new initiatives.
- Are comfortable with building and running SQL queries to analyze business performance
- Possess strong analytical skills and bring a structured approach to ambiguous data sets
- Are experienced in analyzing P&L and building financial models
Bonus Points For:
- Experience working with or managing technology or platform partners.
- Exposure to marketplaces, logistics, or retail enablement platforms.
- Experience leading or participating in negotiations.
- Experience in investment banking
- Familiarity with analyzing business metrics or partner performance (no technical
- coding required).

Compensation
The successful candidate's starting pay will fall within the pay range listed below and is determined based on job-related factors including, but not limited to, skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. Base salary is localized according to an employee's work location. Ranges are market-dependent and may be modified in the future.
In addition to base salary, the compensation for this role includes opportunities for equity grants. Talk to your recruiter for more information.

- For salaried roles: flexible paid time off/vacation, plus 80 hours of paid sick time per year.
- For hourly roles: vacation accrued at about 1 hour for every 25.97 hours worked (e.g. about 6.7 hours/month if working 40 hours/week; about 3.4 hours/month if working 20 hours/week), and paid sick time accrued at 1 hour for every 30 hours worked (e.g. about 5.8 hours/month if working 40 hours/week; about 2.9 hours/month if working 20 hours/week).
The national base pay range for this position within the United States, including Illinois and Colorado.
$115,700-$170,100 USD
