Join our Core Technology Architecture team in Dolby's Entertainment organization and help create spectacular experiences for consumers everywhere. As the Google Technology Platform Architect, you'll build and strengthen relationships with Google's engineering teams to drive adoption of Dolby technologies across their platforms. You'll guide and coordinate the technical work of multiple Dolby engineering teams who contribute to Google projects, ensuring alignment and maximizing our collective impact. Finally, you'll be part of a dynamic cross-functional team developing comprehensive technology strategies that bring Dolby experiences to Android devices, Chrome OS devices, Chrome Browser, and Chromecast worldwide.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
• Build and develop strong relationships with technical leaders across Google, creating trusted partnerships delivering value to Google's business through enabling Dolby's spectacular experiences
• Develop and execute a multi-year technology strategy for Dolby's experiences on Google's family of technology platforms and devices, including Android based OSs, Chrome, Chromium, Chrome OS and Chromecast
• Maintain detailed media system architectures of relevant Google technology platforms while defining, developing, and orchestrating Dolby's technical architectures to support our experiences on Google platforms
• Provide thought leadership on Dolby's experiences on Google's platforms both internally and for our partners
• Deliver technical leadership to project managers and engineering teams to drive delivery of Dolby experiences on Google's platforms.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Minimum 10+ years of work experience with relevant bachelor's degree. (EE / CS / etc.). Research qualifications (master's degree or PhD) a bonus.
• Knowledge of video and image signal processing
• Experience with multiple variants of Android/Chrome OSs media stacks (Audio and Imaging)
o Including AOSP, Android Mobile, Android TV, Android Auto, Android Automotive OS (AAOS),
Android XR, Wear OS and Chrome OS
o Including working knowledge of MediaCodec, Media3 and legacy Android media APIs
(Audioflinger, etc)
• Experience with Google powered devices including Pixel Phones and Tablets, Chromebooks and Nest Audio devices
• Experience with OTT playback systems and players (including Exoplayer, Shaka Player, etc) and including working knowledge of DRM
• Experience with web and broadcast content delivery ecosystems, including working knowledge of the Chromium media stack
• Knowledge of Android/Chrome OS connectivity protocols, in particular Google Cast and connectivity
technology; Bluetooth, WiFi, UWB
• Knowledge of secure systems, including TEE along with working knowledge of developing in C/C++, Python, Javascript and Rust

The San Francisco/Bay Area base salary range for this full-time position is $207,800 - $253,900 which can vary if outside this location,plus bonus, benefits, and some roles may also include equity. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, competencies, experience, market demands, internal parity, and relevant education or training.
