Senior QA Engineer, Dolby Vision

1 month ago Wroclaw, Poland

Join the leader in entertainment innovation and help us design the future. At Dolby, science meets art, and high tech means more than computer code. As a member of the Dolby team, you'll see and hear the results of your work everywhere, from movie theaters to smartphones. We continue to revolutionize how people create, deliver, and enjoy entertainment worldwide. To do that, we need the absolute best talent. We're big enough to give you all the resources you need, and small enough so you can make a real difference and earn recognition for your work. We offer a collegial culture, challenging projects, and excellent compensation and benefits, not to mention a Flex Work approach that is truly flexible to support where, when, and how you do your best work.

At Dolby, we don't just build technology - we shape how the world experiences sound and sight. Behind the scenes of every blockbuster film, streaming hit, or immersive game, there's a complex, high-performance platform making it all possible. We're looking for a Senior QA Engineer to help us ensure that this platform operates with precision, reliability, and excellence at scale.

You'll be joining a growing engineering team focused on the Dolby Vision Imaging Platform - a core technology that powers visual experiences across a wide range of devices and workflows. From algorithm development to system integration, your work will ensure that every pixel meets the highest standard of quality.

You'll play a critical role in a platform that drives the end-to-end media journey: from creation and distribution to final playback. You'll collaborate with software engineers, research teams, and product partners to deliver robust, testable, and high-performing imaging software used by creators and consumers worldwide.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and execute detailed test plans across multiple levles (component, integration, system, and end-to-end).
  • Develop and maintain reliable, modular test scripts (primarily in Python).
  • Build and maintain test environments - both software and hardware-based.
  • Collaborate with development and product teams to ensure high product quality.
  • Drive and expand test automation frameworks and CI/CD pipelines in Gitlab.
  • Perform various tests: functional, regression, negative, boundary, and performance testing.
  • Accurately document, track, and verify reported defects.
  • Analyze test results and prepare clear quality reports for teams and leadership.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives).
  • Promote best testing practices and initiate improvements in processes and tools.
  • Support video content validation, including visual artifacts, image quality, and metadata.
