IT Lead Licensing Operations Analyst
Overview :
Dolby is seeking an experienced IT Lead Licensing Operations Analyst to support the royalty agreement pricing setups and operations; pricing program implementation and royalty reporting; licensee pricing support and revenue analysis; and management of pricing programs for Dolby Licensing in Enterprise Applications.
Job Summary :
Working within the IT Licensing Operations team, you will be responsible for evaluating and understanding new licensing programs and managing the implementation of the pricing agreement structure into our IT systems. This will require several skills including the ability to parse legal agreement terms like a seasoned attorney, analyze the numbers in detail like a forensic accountant, understand the intricacies of the deal like a sales leader, and have the technical acumen to own the system configuration as a lead licensing operations analyst. You thrive in dynamic, fast paced environments and take pride and ownership in executing program setups accurately, effectively, and efficiently. In addition, you will be responsible for setting up each of the pricing agreements that are executed by licensees and supporting the systems and processes for the royalty reports that are collected each quarter from them.

Bangalore, India - must be in person, in office minimum of 2x weekly
Responsibilities :
- Work with stakeholders in the Global Operations teams within Sales, Finance, Tax, Legal, and Engineering to support the pricing and licensing operations related to Technology Licensing Agreements and the relevant Enterprise Application systems:
- This includes reviewing contract terms, identifying key metadata for pricing, implementing updates, maintaining pricing agreements, and validating calculations in the online systems.
- Coordinate with Sales Operations on the Pricing Repository and ensure accuracy of information contained within each program. This includes updating data as new programs are introduced and pricing changes are approved.
- Actively participate in planning discussions regarding new licensing programs to evaluate, influence, and determine business and system requirements, operational impacts, and feasibility.
- Review and analyze licensing agreements drafted by Intellectual Property (IP) attorneys for pricing terms and related setups that are to be implemented into the relevant IT systems infrastructure.
- Responsible for setups related to licensing programs and pricing calculations. This may span several inter-related systems such as customer relationship management (CRM), order management, contract lifecycle management, and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems:

- Understand and document requirements to support new or improved processes to be implemented into the online reporting portal and enterprise application systems. This includes implementing pricing calculations and setups into the online system, identifying key metadata analysis of pricing, and generating test data to verify accuracy.
- Manage the implementation of pricing programs from initial proposal to final release. This will include identifying the tasks, documenting the setups, performing tests, and as required, completing the configurations within the relevant systems.
- Maintain detailed documentation for all business and system requirements necessary to implement each program and licensing agreement. Provide support and be able to answer questions about each pricing calculation (that was carried out by the system). Be able to describe the royalty calculation steps and reconcile them to the executed PDF agreements.
Qualification :
- BS/BA degree in Information Systems or Business-related field is required.
- At least 5 - 8 years of experience in Information Management Systems:
- Extensive experience with Enterprise level software such as SAP and Salesforce is preferred. Experience administering application configurations related to pricing and order management on an Enterprise software solution (such as SAP, Oracle, etc.) is desired.
- Working knowledge of tools like Jira, Service-Now & Confluence is a plus.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, especially regarding complex formulas, functions (such as VLOOKUP), pivot tables, cross-worksheet formulas and references, and report formatting. Some experience or knowledge of Excel macros and VBA is desired.
- Intermediate (or better) proficiency in MS Office products such as Word, PowerPoint, MS Visio, and MS Project.
- At least 5 - 8 years of experience in Sales Support, Pricing, Order Management, and Contracts within an Operations, Deal Desk, or similar role:
- Solid understanding of licensing and royalty models and the implications it has towards systems and implementations. This can be from both academic knowledge and professional experience.
- Leadership and negotiation skills and the ability to effectively coordinate and manage cross-functional and technical activities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills required, including extensive experience meeting, and presenting finding to senior executives.
- Demonstrated ability to organize information and processes in a logical and efficient manner. Strong organizational skills and ability necessary to schedule and prioritize varying workload.
- Extreme attention to detail is critical due to the sensitive nature of contract terms and accuracy in royalties.
- Ability to work independently to achieve goals established in a team environment and able to flex hours as required for royalty reporting support during US timezone.
