Sr Claims Rep-Guest Claims

Responsibilities

The qualified candidate must be able to provide immediate guest liability claims services for the Walt Disney World Resort guests. Must exhibit outstanding customer service with an understanding of brand management. Day-to-Day responsibilities include but are not limited to conducting onsite investigations, evaluate liability case exposure, and resolve claims directly with guests and attorneys. Candidates should be comfortable presenting to an audience and will be asked to provide training to leaders across the Resort and   participate in initiatives to meet department’s goals and objectives. Candidates must be willing to have periodic on-call responsibilities, which in some cases will necessitate responding to incidents after hours.

Basic Qualifications

  • 520 or 620 All-Lines Adjusters’ License with the State of Florida in good standing
  • Proven experience and strong understanding of property and casualty insurance and claims handling
  • Demonstrate strong technical skills, including scene investigations, evaluation and negotiation skills of liability claims.
  • Ability to work under deadline pressures and handle multiple priorities.
  • Demonstrate familiarity with automated claims administration and management systems.
  •  Demonstrate understanding of medical and legal terms
  • Computer proficiency within a Windows environment including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Proven ability to deliver effective presentations to various levels of leaders, including executives
  • Proven abilities to deliver concise and informative written summaries in memo and presentation format, with appropriate business writing and usage of proper grammar.
  • Demonstrated strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Demonstrated excellent time management skills
  • Demonstrated  strong relationship-building, negotiating, and influence abilities
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively solve problems and make decisions
  • Demonstrate ability to handle confidential information
  • Ability to work in multiple computer programs and in a paperless claims environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum 7 years and up of experience handling claims liability claims ( including Bodily Injury, Property Damage, Auto BI including PIP, Auto Property Damage, Discrimination, ADA Compliance and subrogation, etc.)
  • Bilingual ability is helpful

Required Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

The hiring range for this position in Florida is $83,000 to $111,200 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
