Graphic Design Manager

The Graphic Design Manager is responsible for Graphic Design & Branding development from concepts to final artwork. The Manager should be highly creative, think strategically, and be forward-thinking. In this role, you will manage projects at varying levels of complexity while meeting deadlines and maintaining high-quality standards.
This is a full-time role.
You will report to the Sr. Manager, Graphic Design
You must also submit a digital portfolio. Please share or disable any passwords for efficient review of portfolios.
What You Will Do:
Development of Graphic Design & Branding for style guides and portfolios across multiple properties and cross divisions
Manage Graphic Design & Branding activities for multiple categories and numerous franchises
Generate ideas for Franchise expansion
Develop art style and new techniques to coordinate with trends in the marketplace
Attend key shows/exhibitions to keep abreast of trends and product development techniques
Seek out and apply knowledge of new trends and innovations in Graphic Design & Branding
Contribute new product ideas and participate in brainstorming sessions
Ensure Graphic Design & Branding excellence by maintaining integrity and leading artistic and creative direction locally and globally
Coordinate with licensees, internal teams, and content partners on new development and new lines of business
Develop a strong Graphic Design & Branding community across Global Product Creative
Work closely with Artists to create elevated, relevant art that encompasses trends, consumer insights, Studio initiatives, and Franchise priorities
Understand Graphic Design & Branding and how it translates to products
Present creative concepts in both formal and informal settings
Required Qualifications & Skills:
6 years of related work experience in graphic design, character art, or merchandise design
Extensive knowledge of Graphic Design & Branding
Strategic thinker with the ability to clearly communicate, present, and sell creative ideas both in formal and informal settings.
Traditional and digital drawing skills, and concepting skills
Ability to illustrate and stylize characters is a plus
Knowledge and understanding of fashion and merchandise design.
Fresh and inventive creative thinker with an awareness of marketplace trends.
Hand lettering/custom typography
Interpersonal and people management skills
Negotiation skills with the ability to influence and inspire others
Excellent creative computer skills (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Creative Suite, Keynote)
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Art and Design or equivalent work experience

The hiring range for this position in Glendale, CA is $95,500 to $128,000 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
