We are looking for a Social Media Manager who is passionate about social media and content.
As a Social Media Manager at DigitalOcean, you will join a dynamic team dedicated to revolutionizing cloud computing and AI. You will own Cloudways’ presence across key social channels (LinkedIn, Twitter/X, Facebook, Instagram, and emerging platforms). You’ll be responsible for building and executing a social strategy that grows our community, drives engagement, and amplifies our brand voice. You’ll report to the Manager, Social Media, who leads the Social Team. This role requires a blend of creativity, content expertise, and analytical thinking. You’ll work closely with content, design, and other marketing teams, leveraging both organic content strategies and paid social amplification to maximize engagement and impact.

Social Media Content & Planning
- Execute the social media strategy aligned with Cloudways’ brand and business goals.
- Create, manage, and own the social media content calendar, ensuring consistent posting and alignment with product launches, campaigns, and events.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with content, design, product marketing, Agency, and community teams to source ideas, align messaging, and produce content.
- Stay ahead of social trends, emerging formats, and platform updates to keep Cloudways relevant and engaging.
Content Creation & Publishing
- Write and edit engaging copy tailored for each social channel (LinkedIn, Twitter/X, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, etc.).
- Work with designers/video editors to produce high-quality visuals, infographics, short-form videos, and animations.
- Ensure posts are optimized for engagement (hooks, hashtags, CTAs, and timing).
- Schedule and publish content across platforms, ensuring consistency and brand alignment.
- Repurpose content (blogs, case studies, webinars, events, etc) into snackable, social-friendly formats.
Community Building & Engagement
- Build, grow, and nurture Cloudways’ online community across social platforms.
- Actively engage with customers, prospects, partners, and industry influencers to strengthen relationships.
- Spark and participate in conversations, fostering meaningful dialogue that positions Cloudways as a trusted voice in hosting, cloud, and WordPress communities.
- Identify, empower, and amplify brand advocates and community champions.
- Explore opportunities for UGC (user-generated content), customer spotlights, and social collaborations.
Social Advertising & Amplification
- Plan and execute paid social campaigns across LinkedIn, Meta (Facebook/Instagram), and Twitter/X.
- Use paid ads strategically to boost high-performing organic content, ensuring maximum engagement rate, traffic, and ROI.
Analytics, Reporting & Optimization
- Track KPIs such as engagement rate, impressions, engagement, video views, link clicks, followers, traffic, and conversions.
- Conduct content and ad performance analysis, providing regular insights to the Social team.
- Continuously optimize content and campaigns through A/B testing, audience insights, and platform analytics.
- Benchmark Cloudways’ social presence against competitors and industry leaders.
What You’ll Add to DigitalOcean:
- At least a bachelor's degree, preferably in marketing.
- 3–5 years of proven experience managing social media for a SaaS, tech, or B2B brand.
- Strong grasp of English grammar with excellent writing and storytelling skills.
- A good eye for design and aesthetics, with the ability to brief or collaborate with creative teams.
- Strong presentation, communication, and analytical skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- High attention to detail and consistency across all deliverables.
- Ability to be flexible and adapt to the changing needs of the business.
- A strong desire to learn, grow, and innovate in social media marketing.
- Ability to continually improve and enhance the company’s social media output through creativity and data-driven insights.
- Hands-on experience running paid campaigns on LinkedIn, Meta (Facebook/Instagram), and Twitter/X.
- Proficiency with social management and analytics tools, preferably Sprout Social.
- Creative eye for engaging visuals.
- Familiarity with WordPress, cloud hosting, or SaaS industries is a bonus.
