Purpose of the Role:

This role is to handle efficiently the transport operations for the market efficiently, partnering with Technology / Control Tower supplier, warehousing teams and transport providers, bringing to bear transport

management system, end to end visibility and leading practices to deliver service to our customers.

The outcomes of this role are mainly measured in: Cost Efficiency, Service, Standardization and Collaborative/value creating relationships internally and externally.

The role partners with Transport Managed Service Provider, carriers and 3PLs and leads a collaborative relationship with Procurement and all pillars of the LOGISTICS taxonomy.

This role will also manage a sophisticated range of in market team members (Sales, SCD, Corporate Relations, GDBS, Warehouse managers, Customer Collaboration Managers, Supply finance) as well as the central

Operational Excellence and CoE team.

You will need to interact across cultures & have strong influence/impact within supply team and with external suppliers. Deep understanding of various overall

transport operation, and also work continuously to improve cost-to-serve in transport operations

Entry Level Requirements - Capabilities, Skills & Experience:

• Overall minimum 6 years or equivalent of supply chain experience with strong LOGISTICS skills and industry network

• Demonstrated ability in Logistics in an FMCG/Retail/manufacturing company

• Preferable experience in Logistics handling multiple taxonomies in LOGISTICS

• Demonstrable ability to engage and align collaborators behind plans and win support for implementing change with transport suppliers

• Degree or equivalent experience in engineering, business or logistics related area

• Ability to operate in environments where influence is more important than formal authority across different collaborators in the market and CoE

• Demonstrable knowledge of end to end supply chain and Customer collaboration

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written combined with the ability to engage effectively at all levels in the organisation and with virtual teams

• An understanding of how leading technology can enable effective logistics operations

• Experience in Technology and Practices in Logistics (i.e. TMS, GPS tracking and e-POD systems) and experience of implementation of the same

• Demonstrable ability to drive savings through transport optimisation

• Numerate and ability to apply KPI's to drive performance management at all levels with transport suppliers

• Language skills: Spanish and English.

Key Accountabilities:

1. Supervise and influence Control Tower Managed Service provider and Carriers to deliver optimised transport operations to market's Warehouses and Distributors' WHs.

2. Oversee and influence 3PLs and Transport providers in the market to deliver directly over all orders from the warehouses to points of sales and to deliver all goods from the ports to the main Warehouse and from the Factory to the customers (if applicable)

3. Influence 3PLs and internal partners from Warehousing to deliver transportation plans

4. Ensure On Time delivery of service to all customers in the market and a smooth transport operation that support changing market requirements

5. Ensure that all transport benchmarks are met, bringing to be benchmark on critical metric dashboard and analytics to drive continuous improvements

6. Control and audit transport spend to be within budget and delivering operational savings year on year

7. Identify and communicate transport related business disruption conditions (Transport strikes, regulatory documentation service interruptions, roads blockages, etc.) and define mitigation actions to minimize service issues

8. Understand transport Value Chain, identify leverages to decrease cost and influence the market collaborators (Commercial, Corporate Relations) to ensure the most cost efficient transport operation for Diageo

9. Define and deliver Transport Collaboration initiatives with other CPGs to decrease cost

10. Sense of urgency and agility to resolve operational issues in a complex environment to serve the needs of business

11. Provide expert transport knowledge and understanding of market dynamics to ensure credibility of CoE including new technologies

12. Work in conjunction with CoE Above market Customer Service and Logistics Head on identification and implementation of mid/long term fit-for-use transport strategy for the market,

delivering continuous improvement and perfection through internal/external benchmarking

13. Own the Implementation of future technology leading to transportation cost reduction and efficiency increases in the market

14. Develop a collaborative partnership with PLAN and SOURCE CoE and MAKE in the market to ensure delivery of overall supply perfection

15. Build projects to reduce carbon footprint to chip in to Diageo's Society 2030 agenda
