Supply Decisions Support Manager
Who are we?
From humble beginnings to extraordinary futures, Diageo is centred on crafting incredible stories of ambitious possibilities. From our iconic global brands such as Johnnie Walker, Smirnoff, Tanqueray and Don Julio, to our local homegrown heroes Bundaberg Rum, Ello and Mr Black, we are a team of pioneers, looking to lead the future of our industry and brands from today. At Diageo, you will be a chosen custodian of our brand portfolio, entrusted with building brands for consumers to celebrate with in the moments that matter. Alongside you will be a group of ambitious, passionate and innovative people, who will help you to achieve extraordinary heights. Together, you will help us create a future worth celebrating.
What will your role be?
The Supply Finance Business Partner plays a pivotal role within our in-market Supply Finance team, providing decision support and FP&A expertise to guide both current operations and long-term strategy. Positioned as a trusted advisor to Supply Operational Teams across Australia, this role enables sound financial decision-making by providing insight, analysis, and challenge to optimise performance, efficiency, and total business value.
In this role, you will directly influence medium- to long-term supply strategy (circa 30% of your time), shaping investment priorities, capacity planning and future supply resilience. The remaining focus (approximately 70%) supports day-to-day operational performance, partnering closely with supply leads to manage financial outlooks, identify value opportunities, improve cost visibility, and ensure delivery against key business targets. This is an opportunity to work at the intersection of finance and operations, balancing strategic thinking with hands-on impact in a fast-moving FMCG environment.
What does this role look like for you?
- Strengthen your impact as a decision maker by providing performance insights and strategic financial support across logistics, transport and planning.
- Lead meaningful improvement in inventory management, driving down SLOBS and enhancing visibility through clear reporting and value-focused insights.
- Build capability in NPD costing and lifecycle management, influencing product economics and commercial outcomes from concept to post-implementation review.
- Deepen your technical expertise in customs and excise through advisory and governance responsibility, shaping compliance and risk management frameworks.
- Grow your analytical skillset by supporting network decisions and scenario planning, helping shape the future of our supply model.
- Become a key voice in operational performance discussions, applying financial lenses to optimise processes, cost structures and long-term supply resilience.
What will you bring to the table?
- A relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting or Finance, supported by CA or CPA accreditation.
- At least 5 years of finance experience with growing scope and responsibility, showing strong career progression.
- Proven costing experience from bill of materials through to final product costing, with the ability to translate cost drivers into meaningful insight.
- Strong financial and analytical capability, able to simplify complex issues into clear analysis or form decisions with limited information.
- Experience in Supply Finance or exposure to manufacturing and supply networks, with an understanding of operational levers that drive optimisation.
- Solid accounting knowledge with the confidence to challenge, influence and support decisions across both operational and strategic priorities.
