Job Title: Senior Executive - Blending

About the Function:

1. Blend Preparation & Execution

  • Prepare blends for whisky, rum, vodka, brandy, and other spirits as per approved recipes.
  • Measure, mix, and adjust blend components to meet organoleptic and chemical specifications.
  • Ensure precise adherence to blending instructions, maturation standards, and filtration parameters.

2. Quality & Sensory Compliance
  • Conduct sensory evaluation (appearance, aroma, taste) to ensure blend consistency.
  • Collaborate with Quality teams to meet product standards, stability, and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify and correct quality deviations before batch release.

3. Blend Planning & Inventory Management
  • Maintain stock levels of ENA, malt spirit, matured spirits, caramel, flavours, and additives.
  • Support planning teams to ensure daily/weekly blend readiness for bottling lines.
  • Maintain accurate blending records, batch sheets, and spirit movement documentation.

4. Process Control & Documentation
  • Monitor temperature, filtration efficiency, proof strength, and blending yields.
  • Prepare production and blending reports as per excise and internal compliance norms.
  • Ensure full traceability of every batch from raw material to final blend.

5. Safety, Hygiene & Compliance
  • Follow safety, quality, and food safety (FSSAI) guidelines in blending areas.
  • Ensure hygiene standards for blending tanks, pipelines, filtration systems, and storage vessels.
  • Collaborate with excise officers for accurate documentation and inspections.

6. Continuous Improvement
  • Participate in kaizen activities to improve blending yield, cycle time, and quality.
  • Support new product development trials and recipe improvement initiatives.
  • Suggest process improvements for consistency and operational efficiency.

Key Skills & Competencies
  • Strong knowledge of ENA, matured spirits, sensory evaluation, and blending science.
  • Understanding of filtration, maturation, proof adjustment, and spirit chemistry.
  • Proficiency in SAP / ERP for spirit movement and blend documentation.
  • Analytical skills for lab results interpretation (ABV, colour, turbidity, fusel oils).
  • Strong discipline, attention to detail, and adherence to quality systems.
  • Good coordination skills with production, quality, warehouse, and excise.
  • knowledge in safety & manufacturing Excellence will be added advantage
  • Blend & Production posting in system- NEWGEN DELTA regularly and tracking the stock positions.
  • Performance monitoring, Training & Development of Unit QC on sensory, L1, GMP, testing/analysis, calibration of instruments , LMR, FSSA & FSMS.
  • All Blends coordination with TC for Formula & Blend Procedure - 1st batch approval.
  • Maintain & Monitor stocks position of Spirits/ HBS/Caramel/Food flavour etc...


Qualifications
  • B.Sc. / M.Sc./B.Tech in Chemistry / Food Technology / Biotechnology
  • Diploma or certification in Distillation/Alcohol Technology (added advantage)
  • 2-5 years' experience in blending, distillation, bottling, or alcoholic beverage industry.
