About the Role

The Digital & Social Media Senior Manager is the strategic owner of Diageo Mexico's digital ecosystem - leading end-to-end planning, execution and performance optimization across social platforms, CRM, retail media and performance channels.

This role goes beyond campaign delivery. It is about driving measurable business impact through digital Share of Voice, social engagement, data capture, and return on investment.

You will act as the bridge between Global Digital Transformation and local market execution - embedding global frameworks, tools and AI innovation into scalable, high-impact activations in Mexico.

Key Accountabilities

Digital & Social Strategy Leadership

  • Develop and lead social-first digital strategies aligned with each brand's annual plans and growth ambitions.
  • Define clear roles for paid social, organic social, CRM, retail media, influencers and content partnerships within the ecosystem.
  • Drive competitive Digital Share of Voice across priority categories.
  • Ensure full-funnel investment strategy (awareness, consideration, conversion).

Performance & value Ownership
  • Own digital performance accountability across brands and channels.
  • Optimize budget allocation based on real-time performance insights.
  • Drive measurable improvements in engagement, acquisition, conversion and ROAS.
  • Translate performance data into clear business recommendations.


Social Channel Excellence
  • Elevate social media from tactical execution to results-focused brand storytelling.
  • Ensure outstanding platform execution across Meta, Instagram, TikTok and emerging channels.
  • Integrate influencer strategy, creator partnerships and AI-generated content solutions.
  • Implement clear measurement frameworks beyond vanity metrics.


Data & Digital Governance
  • Lead the development and ongoing management of a comprehensive Digital Performance Dashboard.
  • Drive adoption of CRM and CDP capabilities for smarter segmentation and audience activation.
  • Ensure compliance with global measurement standards and governance frameworks.


Global Integration & Innovation
  • Serve as Mexico's primary contact for Global Digital Transformation.
  • Implement global playbooks, tools and AI solutions locally.
  • Identify scalable digital innovations relevant for the Mexican consumer.


Agency & Partners Leadership
  • Lead and inspire media, social and CRM agency partners to deliver performance excellence.
  • Influence cross-functional partners (Brand, eCommerce, Commercial, Consumer Planning) to embed digital-first thinking.
  • Build digital capability within the local marketing team.


Required Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of experience in Digital Marketing, Social Media Strategy or Performance Media.
  • Consistent track record handling agency ecosystems and cross-functional partners.
  • Deep expertise across: Paid & organic social strategy CRM platforms (Salesforce Marketing Cloud preferred), CDPs (e.g., Treasure Data), Retail media & eCommerce media, Performance measurement and dashboard development.
  • Strong analytical and commercial skill.
  • Experience operating within global-to-local marketing models.
  • Passion for digital innovation, AI tools and evolving consumer behaviour.
