About the Role
The purpose of this role is to provide Operational Direction and Support to the Storehouse Retail Shop & Diageo Staff Shop. This role is responsible for providing operational direction and support to the Retail Sales Floor & Staff Shop Operation. The successful candidate will support Retail Back of House Manager and Storehouse Purchasing Processes for the Back of House areas. Reports directly to the Retail Back of House Manager.
Guinness Storehouse is the number 1 visitor attraction in Ireland, welcoming over 1.7 Million visitors every year. The Storehouse is open for business 360 days p.a. Staff work on annualised hours basis, the equivalent of 39 hours per week. Weekend work and Bank Holiday work is required. Team Leader will also be responsible for planning and updating Stocktakes for the Retail Shop after business hours.
In this role you will lead a team of 6 Stores Assistants and 6 Seasonal Staff, build close relationships with Hr Manager, Retail Store Manager, Finance Team, Retail General Manager, Front of House manager ,Storehouse Team leaders, Ecommerce Team and Storehouse staff.
Top Accountabilities
- Manage outputs for the replenishment of Retail Shop & Bottle Shop: Ensure areas are fully stocked at all times, manage transfer of stock between stores locations, product scanning, replenishment reporting & quality checking, stocktaking for stores and retail outlets, determining variances, control of losses, Achieve 0.50% shrinkage in the Retail shop annually. Need to be flexible around planning and arranging stocktake as it will be completed after business hours.
- Manage outputs for the Receiving/Purchasing Goods: Control stock information & update systems for accurate reporting. Receiving goods daily from supplier's ensuring goods inwards procedures are followed. Use sales & stock figures to determine purchases & liaise with merchandisers to discuss new products.
- Systems: Utilise system to the benefit of the business introducing new initiatives around the systems. (Gamma) In house System (Sap) Payment system . Strong PC skills are required to manage and control internal systems processes/ reporting/ stocktaking / Business management.
- Lead Team: Grow and develop Team using the P4G (partners for Growth) process and high performance coaching process. Provide them with the necessary training and development to meet their individual needs. Ensure team adhere to strict Health & Safety standards. Ensure all suppliers on site adhere to these procedures.
Qualifications & Experience
- 3-4 Years Retail Operations experience and /or 1 Year at Supervisory Level. Previous Sap reporting experience (optional).
- Excellent PC skills
- Good at Relationship Building
- Strong focus on Health & Safety & Business Compliance.
- Physically able to meet the physical demands of the role.
- Good communication both Verbal and in written form (E-mailing)
- Decisive and able to make decisions quickly and effectively.
- Excellent Leadership qualities.
- High level of attention to detail
- Good organisational skills and able to prioritise tasks effectively
- Passionate about providing excellent customer service
