About the Role

We are looking for friendly, energetic and hard-working individuals to join our GSH team to help us deliver a world-class experience worthy of the Guinness brand to a global tourism audience. Upon joining you'll receive a comprehensive induction to welcome you to our team and familiarise you with the building, our world-famous beer and brand, and your role in bringing it to life for our guests.

As part of the team within our Flagship Retail Store you'll help curate the largest collection of Guinness merchandise in the world within a unique shopping location. The Store is a multi-functional retail space where you will help create consistently amazing experiences for visitors by ensuring a 5-star level of service and being part of a work culture that strives to go above and beyond.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Providing best-in-class customer service as a proud ambassador of the Guinness brand at all times, putting the guest front and centre of each and every effort and interaction, and striving to create memorable magic moments which enhance and elevate the guest experience.
  • Processing sales and transactions efficiently and accurately with impeccable cash-handling skills and full compliance with finance and auditing procedures at all times.
  • Supporting operational excellence cross-functionally across all guest-facing areas in a high customer-volume environment, helping to ensure a world-class experience for visitors from an international audience during every part of their Storehouse journey.
  • Replenishing a diverse stock range with full adherence to appearance, quantity and sizing guidelines as well as stocktaking accuracy, and maintaining and enhancing the highest store visual merchandising standards at all times. Paying continual attention to details and chances for engaging, cohesive brand-storytelling on both a visual and shopping-experience level.
  • Working to continually develop and unlock experience, skill and expertise in the range of different store specialisms which encompass the retail operation, engaging with co-workers and managers as colleagues, trainers and coaches, as well as engaging with all internal mandatory and statutory training modules, courses and opportunities.


Essential Skills & Attributes

  • Puts the visitor as the number one priority, focus and consideration throughout, scaling all personal and team efforts around improving the guest experience and happiness.
  • Results-driven with a curiosity and desire for awareness and insight into relevant business KPIs and up-to-date performance metrics, and how the daily operation actively contributes to these.
  • A full adherence to all Health & Safety rules, guidelines, standards and protocols, ensuring both a safe workplace and visitor environment for all of our guests, whilst being mindful of different accessibility needs and requirements, particularly those that may not be immediately visible.
  • Consciously acts as an ambassador for Guinness, from warm welcome to sincere farewell, showcasing energy, enthusiasm and professionalism at all times. Develops a comprehensive product-knowledge whilst embracing all opportunities for compelling brand storytelling and shared passion.
  • Maintains the highest standards of personal appearance, uniform compliance and conduct with a stage-ready mentality at all times.
  • Excellent time-management, punctuality and organisational abilities, as well as effective problem-solving skills conducted with a positive and solutions-driven, collaborative mindset.
  • Clear, confident communication skills and commitment to diversity within both an international staff and audience.
