About the Function:
The Sales Operations Team plays a critical role in bringing our strategy to life at the point of sale, acting as the driving force of execution within our commercial organization. With Speed, precision and visibility the team is focused to make our brands land in every channel with excellence and in alignment with the company's strategic priorities, customer plans and consumer focus. It is the biggest structure in the company, including merchandisers, supervisors, sales executives and regionals attending 6 Nielsen Areas and having presence in more than 1700 POS national wide (Modern Trade & WHS).
The Regional Manager is the leadership and strategic execution reference within their Nielsen Area, responsible for translating national commercial strategy into actionable regional plans.
Lead commercial and execution Strategy per Area Nielsen, improving sell-out, share, distribution and portfolio presence at Point of Sales through data-driven decisions, team leadership & operational discipline, and coordination with commercial peers. This role also inspires and develops Sales Executives, influence multifunctional teams, and act as a seedbed for the future commercial and strategic leaders inside the company.
Decision Expected
- Define execution and sales priorities by city and channel within the Area Nielsen
- Adjust plans to deliver execution critical metrics
- Adjust local resource allocation and approve territory specific tactics.
- Negotiate and influence regional priorities with KAMS & TL
- Track promotion & execution effectiveness
- Lead, coach, motivate and guide personal and professional development of team assigned

Recommendation Expected
- Provide input to national strategy based on regional insights & analysis
- Participate in commercial strategic decision making as "the voice" of field execution reality
- Collaborate Effectively with 3rd Parties (Execution Agency) improving resources in Nielsen Area delivering execution important metrics
- A return on investment and Budget recommendation
Financial Accountability
- Track and monitor the full year AN operational execution budget ensuring efficient allocation of resources (collaborate with Execution Agency)
- Validate the agency's proposed structures (routes, coverage models, headcount) and recommend adjustments to improve cost-effectiveness.
- Analyze and consolidate performance reports vs budget (sales vs investment, value of display/activations) and bring up significant gaps or risk to Sales Operations Head

Strategical Accountability
- Enable performance meetings with their team finding strengths, opportunities and risk and communicate with Sales Operations Head
- Connect Regional execution performance and market insights to influence commercial planning and decision
- Identify structural execution gaps across channels and propose long-term solutions (coverage models, capabilities, tech tools)
- Anticipate market trends, competitors move, and shopper behaviors to shape proactive execution strategies
- Anticipate promotional plans to guarantee correct forecasting and execution effectiveness
- Act as "voice of the field" in strategic forums, ensuring plans are grounded in operational realities
- Design and implement operational routines, dashboards, and visibility tools that enable strategic decision making
Leadership Responsibilities
- Lead, inspire and develop Sales Executives within Area Nielsen, setting clear expectations and driving accountability
- Provide coaching and guidance 3rd Parties (Execution Agencies - supervisors, merchandisers), ensuring alignment with company's execution standards.
- Influence multifunctional teams (Sales, CMO, Supply & Marketing) to ensure commercial priorities are reflected in regional execution)
- Successful key partner management (Internal & External:) Act as a bridge between 3rd Parties (Execution Agencies) teams and commercial strategy, guaranteeing detailed delivery at the point of sale
- Foster collaboration, feedback, and knowledge sharing across regions to elevate overall execution quality
Key Accountabilities
- Lead sales & execution performance in Area Nielsen, ensuring sell out, and execution KPIs
- Analyse sales, execution and market performance and competition public data to generate insights and actionable
- Develop and coach Sales & Execution Executives, identifying and preparing talent for future commercial or strategic roles.
- Coordinate with KAMs, Team Leaders, Marketing and Supply to ensure alignment of regional execution with commercial strategy.
- Analyse return on investment AN and local initiatives; recommend optimization of resources
- Embed regional execution realities into commercial planning, ensuring local insights influence national decision and long-term growth
Qualifications
- Analytical & Data-driven: interprets commercial and execution data to generate insights
- Inspirational Leadership: develops and motivates teams, builds future talent.
- Effective and Empathic communication, clearly articulates priorities & good presentation skills
- Strategic Vision: identifies trends and proposes new opportunities for growth
- Cross-functional influence: coordinates effectively with Customer Marketing, Commercials Teams, Supply & External contacts
- Operational Discipline: ensures detailed execution standards at point of sales
Experience
- 3-5 years of experience in operations, trade marketing, or commercial execution
- Experience in team leadership, client management, and data analysis
- KPI's tracking systems, BI and digital tools with ability to create insights and transform in actionable
- Proficiency in Excel, CRM, and BI tools
- English advanced level desirable
