About the role

Diageo Bailey's Global Supply serves the world-wide demand for Bailey's Irish Cream, and also manufactures and distributes Sheridan's, various value brands and has also developed new products such as Baileys Minis and Baileys Flavours. Baileys itself is the world's top selling liqueur brand and one of Diageo's four global priority brands. The total case volume in a given year would be approximately 8 million cases across all brands with 400 stock keeping units (SKUs) and 6,500 sales orders.

The Service and Supply team:

  • Manage 6,500 orders per year.
  • Deal with 400 product codes, 3 plants and 8M cases of product.
  • Co-ordinate supply by sea, road, air to over 60 countries and 180 customers worldwide.


The Market Service Owner will be responsible for order execution for a number of markets. Tasks include coordinating international transport operations and assist production to meet customer demand.

There will also be a continuous improvement element to the role with expectations on improving key metrics and pulling cost out of the business where possible.

Role responsibilities
  • To manage all aspects of delivery of Baileys products from Ireland to the destination in accordance to Incoterms
  • To prepare and collate export documentation relating to orders in line with market requirements
  • Manage order dates in line with production planning and despatch requirements.
  • Liaise with marine, road, and air carriers to book capacity, secure shipping instructions, confirm shipments and resolve.
  • Prepare and collate order documentation, to meet market requirements with emphasis on C&E compliance.
  • Liaise with the Regional Hubs to resolve service issues
  • Monitor and record reasons for order failure to support KPI measures, provide ownership for and input into corrective actions for misses.

  • Excellent communication skills as will be building relationships with 'Rest of world'.

  • Keen to develop and progress within team and ultimately Diageo

Qualifications and Experience
  • Proven experience in International logistics/Supply Chain, ideally export related
  • Supply chain systems: SAP, LCT, TMS
  • Awareness of Supply chain processes e.g. planning, replenishment, make to order fulfilment, manufacturing, materials and services supply
  • Experience of Microsoft Outlook, Excel essential
