Role Responsibilities:

The Manager - Commercial Effectiveness plays a critical role in enabling data-driven commercial decision making for the Australia business while strengthening the capabilities of the team based out of Bangalore (Global Business Operations).

The role operates at the intersection of Revenue Growth Management (RGM), Commercial Analytics, Pricing Operations, and Commercial Finance, supporting the delivery of high-quality commercial insights, pricing execution, and trade investment effectiveness.

In addition to delivering strong commercial analytics, this role provides leadership coverage within the Bangalore team, supporting the leaders in managing a diverse portfolio spanning pricing operations, commercial data, reporting & analytics, and claims verification. The role will help drive operational excellence, strengthen team capability, and ensure consistent delivery aligned with Australia market priorities.

The role will also support the evolution of AI-enabled analytics and automation within the team, helping translate new tools and capabilities into scalable ways of working that improve productivity and insight generation.

Key Responsibilities

1. Pricing & Revenue Growth Management Operations

Provide leadership oversight for pricing operations supporting the Australia business.

Responsibilities include:
• Overseeing CPI and BAU pricing modelling cycles
• Supporting development and maintenance of the Pricing Database (PDB)
• Ensuring pricing analytics outputs are accurate, transparent, and timely
• Partnering with Australia RGM stakeholders to align pricing recommendations with commercial strategy
• Identifying opportunities to improve pricing processes, tools, and analytical frameworks


2. Commercial Analytics & Insight Generation

Translate complex commercial questions into structured analytical frameworks that support decision making.

Deliver insights across areas including:
• Pricing performance and elasticity
• Trade investment effectiveness
• Customer, product, and channel performance
• Revenue and margin drivers


Support Australia stakeholders by identifying opportunities to drive profitable growth through improved analytics and commercial insight.

3. Leadership & Delivery Oversight (Bangalore Hub)

Act as a leadership partner to the Senior Manager in overseeing a diverse team delivering across pricing operations, commercial analytics, and claims verification.

Responsibilities include:
• Providing day-to-day leadership coverage across key workstreams
• Ensuring consistent delivery quality, timelines, and operational discipline
• Supporting coordination across multiple commercial workstreams
• Strengthening team capability in commercial thinking and analytical problem solving
• Mentoring and developing analysts within the Bangalore team


This role helps reduce reliance on single leadership points by strengthening second-line leadership within the hub.

4. Stakeholder Partnership

Build strong relationships with Australia-based stakeholders across Revenue Growth Management, Commercial Finance, Sales, and Commercial leadership.

Responsibilities include:
• Acting as a trusted analytics and commercial partner to the Australia business
• Translating business needs into structured analytical and operational workstreams
• Ensuring offshore delivery remains closely aligned with Australia market priorities
• Proactively identifying opportunities to strengthen analytics, pricing processes, and commercial insight generation


5. AI & Commercial Capability Enablement

Support the evolution of AI-enabled analytics and automation within the commercial effectiveness team.

Responsibilities include:
• Helping embed AI tools and automation into analytics and pricing workflows
• Identifying opportunities to streamline reporting, analysis, and pricing processes
• Supporting capability development within the Bangalore team on new analytical tools and AI-assisted ways of working
• Contributing to the development of scalable and efficient commercial analytics practices


Qualifications & Experience

Education
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Engineering, or related field
• MBA / CA / CFA / CIMA or equivalent preferred


Experience
• 7-10 years of experience in Commercial Finance, Revenue Growth Management, Commercial Analytics, or Sales Strategy
• Experience working with pricing, trade investment, or commercial performance topics
• Experience partnering with sales or commercial teams in an FMCG or consumer environment preferred


Skills & Capabilities

Commercial Acumen
Strong understanding of the commercial drivers of growth including pricing, trade investment, and revenue management.


Analytical Thinking
Ability to structure complex problems and derive insights from data to support business decisions.


Stakeholder Management
Ability to influence and collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.
