About the Function: Roles in this job family work to sales performance targets. They create relationships and work in partnership with a broad range of client groups and customers in multiple channels. They develop actionable sales strategies and plans, develop opportunities and create demand.

About the role: Support, develop and build with KA customers SMU & Tottus enabling us to bring to life our plans, delivering amazing performance.

The incumbent need to have the ability to capture customer insights and transform them into brilliant plans, working in a true collaborative way with CP&A, Marketing, Supply and Finance colleagues. This role requires a deep understanding the alcohol beverage category to become a true category advisor with the customer.

Develop account management capability with every customer touch point to ensure our brilliant execution.

Responsibilities:

Decision Making

  • Lead decision making on the execution of the commercial calendar and activity plan, ensuring its completion with the Activity Plans (Innovation, Brand and Category Initiatives).
  • Act and be the key link between Marketing, Sales by leading and engaging all relevant parties to deliver our business plan, ensuring right optimization of investment and prioritization of execution.
  • Lead all in-store executions (owning the storeback planning execution approach), ensuring activation plans are achieved On Time in Full in an efficient and effective way.

Financial Responsibility
  • Supports Modern Trade Manager in managing trade investments and optimize promotional tactics and spend across the portfolio working in conjunction with Finance, Marketing and Innovation teams.
  • Manage own T&E operating budget and is expected to adhere to all related policies, and to not exceed its assigned budget.


Leadership Responsibility
  • No direct reports to this position, but people management is critical: this position needs to work along and influence Commercial, CMO, marketing, finance and eCommerce Team.

Key Outputs/Deliverables:
  • Market Share objectives considering Offline and Online strategies
  • Build strong relationship with key customers to drive Diageo and Customer profitability (P&L management).
  • Customer and Shopper understanding and capabilities to turn into powerful plan.
  • Support development of world class collaborative customer partnerships and strategies
  • Develop of promotional plans based on clear shopper, category and customer understanding across offline/online and different formats
  • Nielsen interpretation and development of corrective action plans.
  • Develop accurate forecasting through demand planning resource (S&OP Process).
  • Monitoring, evaluating and advising on Brand/Customer volume, trends and market dynamics.
  • Support the development world class account plans (Customer Information, JCP).
  • Deliver against appropriate KPI's
  • Develop a QBR presentation to discuss performance and opportunities in a periodic way with customers.


Experience / skills required:
  • Degree qualifications in Business and/or Engineering discipline with solid commercial awareness.
  • Strong knowledge and demonstrated delivery in challenging trading environment, in terms of negotiation, Account Management, Category Management, Merchandising, Logistic and Distribution.
  • Passion for Customers, Shoppers and Consumers.
  • Ability to develop leadership skills, networking, influencing, communication, selling skills, planning, negotiating, problem solving and analysis.
  • Project management skills and able to lead changes and work under pressure
  • Able to mobilize the business around a clear and focused goal
  • Able to work under an interdependence environment.
  • Passion for Diageo brands, shopper & new ideas.
  • Advanced/Medium level in English.
