About the Function
Our Sales team love building relationships, connecting with customers to sell our much-loved brands in new and vibrant markets where they can thrive. They help sell our iconic brands across 180 countries every year.
We're operating across different markets, channels, and areas of expertise. Using your curiosity and passion, you'll make the most of consumer insight and digital platforms, reaching new customers, markets, and celebrations to help us achieve our growth potential. About the role
Temporary secondment of minimum 6 months

-Compelling customer propositions that unlock growth opportunities and maximise sustainable profit delivery:
- Successful activation of high impact activity plans based on analysis and core insight into customer strategy, shoppers and consumers
- JBPs are successfully developed and jointly owned
- JBPs' implementation improves the return on investment

- Activities are successfully executed as planned with minimal (appropriate to tier) customisation
- Detailed analysis of activity performance
Decision Maker For:
- Customer proposition: Determines detailed account activity plans and creative proposition
- Business Performance Management: Determines account level the best view forecast submission
- Resource allocation -Determines levels of resources required to support activation
- Customer Value chain management: Resolves best opportunities to handle cost and maximise value at an account level
- P&L accountability for individual account(s)
Functional capabilities:
-Relationship management:
- Strong ownership of the day-to-day customer relationship through effective negotiation, persuasion, conflict management/resolution skill and great cross-functional behaviours and ways of working
- All customer data and information required to support the customer relationship is rigorously and robustly handled
-Development and delivery of customer plan
- Ability to understand customer requirements and match these to specific Diageo propositions
- Makes proactive and reactive recommendations
- Searches and spins proactively to identify and activate potential opportunities
-Brilliant Execution & great performance
- Operates with a clear set of priorities, adjusting for opportunities and obstacles
- Thorough orchestration of all aspects of programme activation with meticulous attention to detail
- Experienced analysis of multiple data sources is converted quickly into simple, clear, concrete implications
- Take personal accountability to beat the competition
- Work within the commercial tramlines and relevant business process guidelines required
- Strong-followership of centrally-driven decisions and brilliant execution of programmes and activities
About you
Experience / skills required:
- Around 3 to 5 years of account management experience in FMCG industry
- Ability to and experience in relationship-building and conflict management/resolution skills
- Ability to interact at and deliver change
- Ability to find solutions for customer requirements
- Good commercial understanding, P&L literacy - numerical and analytical skills
- Evidence of persuasive, negotiation and presentation capabilities
